Comments about Stagg Drum Hardware Case with Wheels:
After doing a lot of research, I finally decided on this case. There's a lot to like about it. The cool looking metal latches, wheels and glides on the back for easy loading onto a truck tailgate. It seems to be relatively sturdy, although the metal latches are pretty flimsy and don't seem like they'll last very long. However, the biggest problem with this case is that it smaller than advertised. The actual usable internal measurements are 38x13x8. It doesn't fit a tractor-style throne (at least not a Roc-N-Soc, Pork Pie, etc.) and it won't fit a hi-hat without breaking it down. What's the point in manufacturing a hardware case that can't fit either?
Comments about Stagg Drum Hardware Case with Wheels:
So, I gig 3-4 nights a week and this is the best equipment buy I've made in a while. All my hardware is one trip (except for my big ass seat). Wheels make it easy. It's easiest when you push it like a hand truck rather than pull it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a solution for drum hardware cartage. I have the 48" model.
I fit a lot of stuff in here: Hi Hat stand, snare stand, tom stand, 3 heavy duty Pearl boom stands, Kick pedal, cowbell, tamborine, stick bag. My comfy size throne won't fit, though.
Very tough box. Latches went to hell within a year and I use velcro straps to secure it. Even with the extra step of strapping it, it's worth it. Wheels and handles are still great 3 years later.
Less expensive than most and I'm sure it's lighter and easier to handle.
Comments about Stagg Drum Hardware Case with Wheels:
I bought this to go with my new Stagg cases. This thing is great, all the cases stack up with it. It is easy and mobile. Works great. Just have 2 pad the bottom but this thing is built to last.
Comments about Stagg Drum Hardware Case with Wheels:
I bought this case to replace a soft-shell wheeled case by another manufacturer. I was pleasantly satisfied when it arrived. I use a Gibraltar Rack System to mount my drums and cymbals and I was looking for something sturdier. This case was the answer to my problem. I have two mounted toms and five cymbals attached to the rack as well as a hi-hat stand. I am now able to disassemble my entire rack system and place it inside this case. The sturdiness of the case helps when going over all terrains. The only complaint I have is that the case is not lined with padding of any kind. This was fixed by me with some foam rubber wrapped in felt and glued to the bottom of the case. Overall this is a great case and I would recommend it to anyone. It looks great too.
Comments about Stagg Drum Hardware Case with Wheels:
I purchased this case to replace an 11 year old Humes and Berg Tuxedo bag that I carried on a wheeled dolly. I've only had this case for a few weeks, but I've done a few jobs with it already. I am satisfied with it's construction and features. It also is half the empty weight of the comparable SKB case and is significantly less money. I was not able to fit the seat of my drum throne into the case as advertised, but I do have two boom stands, a straight stand, a floor tom stand, a high hat stand, the tripod of my throne and two snare drum stands in it.I would recommend this case to anyone who is in the market for a not-too-big but not-too-small hardware case that isn't too heavy before you load it up.
