Comments about Tama CBH20 Cowbell Holder:

The L bracket diameter is 3/8" and the hole is 7/16". Because of this the wing screw can not tighen down on this bracket well and the bracket moves with the instrument mounted to it. Simply a poor design, I will not buy anymore garbage from TAMA again.

      TAMA CBH20 Cowbell Holder Review

      By Philip Metcalfe

      from Ontario, Canada

Comments about Tama CBH20 Cowbell Holder:

In my opinion this is the best bass drum clamp out there. It ouzes quality, as you would expect from TAMA and performs flawlessly. The arm fits front or back so you can position it in any concieveable position. I also love that the clamp doesn't have to be positioned exactly at the top of the hoop, great design. I use an LP Stealth Jam Block with it. I ordered the TAMA MHS 53 wood hoop savers at the same time which protect the bass drum hoop from being marked. At the price it's a no-brainer. You get 3 in a pack and I used one on both sides of the hoop, with 1 left over for my bass drum pedal... Perfect!
      Everything you could possibly want.
      Class leading.
It is an amazing price for such an awesome clamp.

      Own It - Active Musician

Comments about Tama CBH20 Cowbell Holder:

You know the little velcro sticky square pads? just cut one of those into little strips and apply them to the metal surface that connects to your bass drum hoop. This will protect the finish perfectly. You can tighten this clamp up all you want and the finish will still be perfect when you remove the clamp. This also works on bass drum pedals as well. I have tried a few different cowbell holders and arms and clamps. This is hands down the best. Although, I am a die hard Tama hardware user. Buy this and you will love it.

      Cowbell Holder

Comments about Tama CBH20 Cowbell Holder:

I have been using this now for about 6 months--Its been great--I have tried many over the years-This makes it so easy to mount and with the rubber lock down it will not mark up your hoop--you can position this any where you want. I use 2 cowbells on my setup and this one is my main setup with a LP Ridgerider-as much playing out as I do this is a Fantastic piece-It will not mess up your nice kit--Don't need to look any futher and for the price why even try-

Best Cowbell Holder on The Market

      By KME Drums

      from Dallas, Texas

Comments about Tama CBH20 Cowbell Holder:

I have used just about every cowbell holder (that mounts on the bass drum hoop) known to man and this is the best one, hands down (it really works). For this low price you can't find a better made holder anywhere, period (sturdy and well made). I have always had issues with the cowbell falling off the hoop in the middle of songs. I have now used this device on several gigs and it (cowbell) stays put. There are some previous reviewers that complained about bass drum hoop marks (wood), but the simple truth is, any rubber or plastic that would protect the rim (on the clamping part) would cause it to slip. The clamp has a rough surface (teeth) and it makes small indentations on the bass drum rim (underside of hoop), but I am less concerned about aesthetics and more concerned with performance (I am a gigging drummer!). NOTE: Obviously you should never tighten this (or any hardware) with pliers!I have always mounted a cowbell on the bass drum rim and sometimes the bell can stick out so far with the standard post mount that your leg (knee) can hit it (especially if you use a larger bell like I do). I like the fact that you have the ability to adjust this holder?s post (2nd wingnut on top) so the bell can sit back a bit (nice feature). The only thing different in the design I would have suggested is that wingnut should have been drilled on the side instead of the top. If you have your bell low on the post, this feature takes away about an inch of travel (hits the top of the wingnut).

      dents

Comments about Tama CBH20 Cowbell Holder:

when i bought the clamp i was very excited to put it on my hoop and start playing. i was very disapointed to find that the clamp tightens too hard and will leave marks in your bass hoop. i leave it there and never take it off now, so as not to allow anyone too see the painful marks left by it.

very cheap, don't buy if you have a nice set

      By J. Levin

      from Arizona

Comments about Tama CBH20 Cowbell Holder:

I bought this little clamp at the end of february and put it on my bass drum with my LP ridge rider cow bell. At first I thought it was a wonderful product as I put it on my bass. I didn't not overtighten any of the 3 wing nuts, but the top of my bass was dented and a hole was drilled underneath it. Luckily it did not go all the way through. I just got a Pearl ELX and my friend had purchased a similar tama clamp for his same cow bell so I decided to get this one. Do not buy this if you like your set a lot and it's an expensive one. But if you have a cheap set and you're a beginner then this is perfect for you.
