The perfect counterpart to Iron Cobra kick pedals.
Tama has once again produced a stellar piece of hardware with the HH805N Iron Cobra Velo Glide Hi-hat Stand. Iron Cobra hi-hats offer incomparable sensitivity, lightning fast action, player friendly adjustments, and an absolutely noiseless design.
The Velo Glide features the response of a traditional pull-action hi-hat but with a more sophisticated design that eliminates the typical noise and wobble.

Comments about Tama Iron Cobra HH805N Velo Glide Hi-Hat Stand:
I've been using a 40+ year old Rogers hi-hat stand with my 1971 Rogers kit that now has trouble holding onto the top cymbal. It is also prohibitive with regard to how I set up my double-bass pedal because of the traditional leg configuration. Because of these things, I started looking at an updated hi-hat stand.
Since I already had the Tama Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide double-bass pedal and have been impressed with the quality/functionality, I decided to look first at Tama pedals and naturally decided to get this one.
The stand itself is sturdy and stable. No question on the quality of the build whatsoever.
The stand height is very accommodating, easy to adjust and should suffice for any playing style (even standing). Setting the top cymbal height is a breeze and the locking mechanism takes no real torque.
You can also easily adjust the angle of the bottom cymbal. Leaving the bottom cymbal flat gives you a crisp close sound, while tilting it at various angles will give you varying degrees of softness to the closed hi-hat sound.
As with Iron Cobra series pedals, this pedal is extremely responsive giving the control you need while playing.
This is one of those non-traditional stands by which the pedal and two rear legs form the stand keeping the legs out of the way for double-bass pedal setups. This stand goes great and sits directly next to the left pedal in my Iron Cobra 900 Double Bass pedal kit. I used to have to rotate my hi-hat pedal stand to the side in order to place my left bass pedal where one of its legs once stood rending the hi-hat pedal non-functional. Now, due to this new hi-hat stand design, I can actually incorporate the open/close hi-hat into songs where I'm using the double-bass opening up new possibilities.
