This is a great piece of hardware from Tama. I use the two I bought for mounting a couple of 8? splashes above my hi-hats, from DW 9700 cymbal stands. It would be difficult to ask for a better piece of hardware for this purpose.Pros: 1) The Fast Clamp feature is handy and easy to use, 2) The toothless tilter is solid and allows you to place the cymbal at any angle, 3) The post is 8mm and compatible with other manufacturer's wingnuts (unlike Tama's old 6mm post; incidentally, the round plastic nut included works just as well as a metal nut and is less obtrusive), and 4) the boom arm is long enough to get the cymbals where you want them, but short enough to not get in the way.One minor con: The cymbal sleeve, seat, and spacer between the seat and tilter are all a single piece of plastic (Tama P/N RB8P). Once the sleeve wears, this whole part needs to be replaced. I'm sure it's not an expensive part, but it's not a standard sleeve either and as such it might be harder to find a replacement when you need one. With small splashes, it may take years to wear through the sleeve, but larger cymbals will wear this part faster. At any rate, it's obvious that Tama put a lot of thought into this product, and in my opinion, it's one of the best cymbal stand/clamp combos on the market.

This is a very solid cymbal arm and clamp assembly. I'm using it to mount a spash cymbal and have it clamped to the stand of my left hand ride in a jazz setup and it works perfectly. It appears that it would do the job on an even larger cymbal and has plenty of adjustment features to customize it to most situations.

Built tough and very durable. It can fit almost any situation. Endless adjustments can be made. Like I said, typical Tama.

Comments about Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachment:
i owned this clamp for about 2 years. it's definitely a beefy piece of equipment! very solid, very sturdy. the toothless tilter is a wonderful thing; it allows you to position the cymbal at literally any angle. the wingnuts at any spot on the clamp are very easy to tighten; just don't over-tighten, making it hard to get them loose. word of advice, though... if you're looking to mount a splash or a bell, get something cheaper and lighter, like the gibraltar arm. you don't need a clamp this heavy for a smaller cymbal. but if you're going to mount a ride, crash or china, then this is the thing for you. i think the boom arm is 18" in length. overall, a great piece of equipment. heavy and reliable. the price is a little steep now, but i'd say it's worth it for your expensive cymbals!
Comments about Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachment:
Knowing Tama, I expected it to be a nice attachment. Wow...this thing is a piece of Beef. Really nice. When you pull it out of the box, you know you have a piece of equipment in your hand. It's really adjustable too...just what you need for arranging under and between cymbals. It only seems expensive because of all the really cheap stuff out there...this thing stays where you clamp it too. All I have is a 10" splash on it but I'm sure it would hold a 22" ride if the stand you clamp it to could hold it all.
Comments about Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachment:
I have two of these, and plan on buying a third. They stand up to a lot (I have an 18" Crash/Ride on one, and it's totally sturdy). Given the price, they're much cheaper than buying another stand, and most stands can hold two or three of these if you balance them right. I recommend these for anyone wanting to expand their set. You will not be disappointed.

I have bought 2 of these Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachments and am amazed at how tough and versatile they are. I use them to hold a 12" splash cymbal and a 12" china cymbal. They are very sturdy and work great for getting accent cymbals into just the right spot. I highly recommend these!
Comments about Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachment:
these stands are amazing i went over to my local guitar center and originaly wanted the one made by gibralter but got 2 of these instead i have one to my left off my hi hat holding my 6 inch zil-bel and one off a boom stand holding my ride holds perfectly and is very strong
Comments about Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachment:
holds a 20" crash cymbal and works great definitely worth the money
Comments about Tama MCA63EN Cymbal Attachment:
I own 6 of these and they are amazing. People always tell me that I am the HARDEST hitting drummer they have ever seen and these attachments do not budge. That is to be expected when you buy Tama equipment. I have 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 inch cymbals on these and each hold with no problem. Saves space and money, a stand equivalent would cost double this price...and it would have legs. Buy this and you will not be disappointed.
