I had seen this little device for the first time about 4 years ago, when my drum teacher at that time brought it in and was in love with it. I to was impressed with it. I have almost nothing negative to say about it. It has some great features. It really has everything I need in a metronome. The ONLY thing I don't really like is the triplet function on it is a little tricky to get it where you want, and I do wish it transitioned between tempos smoothly and not stop and start. You won't be disapointed.

Best $ I've spent for me and the band!

To be able to determine and adjust the Beats Per Minute(BPM) easily in a song is easy.

I've used the Rythm Watch at least 5 times a week for 30-60 minutes. Once a week I take it off my hi hat stand at home to my practice set else where. I recommend you buy the Tama L-arm attachment and FastClamp. Then you can put on or take off the Rythm Watch anywhere on your kit quickly and easily.

The band loves the Tama Rythm Watch as much as I do. I've used it for 6 months. At practice or live our performance has improved thanks to the timing discipline using a metronome full time brings. We often dial up or down the BPM's a little to better suite what we're playing. I use the Tama Rythm Watch everytime I practice my drum chops. All the big drum instructers say to use a metromone. The Tama Rythm Watch is the best for me.

This Tama Rhythm Watch is a very good product. But be aware of a few details that are not fully developed. It's astonishing to me that they are selling a battery operated unit that does not have an "auto-off" function that shuts the thing off in, say, 10 min of non-operation. Nope, it will drain your battery if you go answer a call and forget to shut it off. My biggest niggle is that, while turning the tempo wheel while running, it will stutter and 'lose' the beat! It does NOT smoothly follow increases or decreases in wheel movement. The tap function is usually 3-4 bpm too slow. I guess you can just get used to that. I use 2 - one in studio one at home all the time. Also it should go to the "12th" beat, (most common in flamenco). Still, a great tool.

This piece of equipment has saved my but in concerts and recordings.  This is a VERY dependable piece of equipment, I've had it for just over a year now and its still working perfectly.  The only thing I've noticed about it, is that if you unplug it with out turning it off first, or if while its pluged in the power goes out for a second, all the settings go back to the factory settings, and you have to re-set them.
