The tama rockstar fusion has a really great sound and looks just as good as it sounds. I really like the 18" deep bassdrum which gives it that nice "boomy" sound.
this is a great from the first time i bought it. i've had it for a year now, and still sounds great. it's taken a slight beating in the cases in the back of the rig, but overall the sound is great, just like a DW set. the hardware is beefy, the only thing i disliked about it overall was the stock heads, aren't the greatest but sounds a lot better with a remo emperor heads, or powerstroke 4..overall very great set.
This is a great sounding set I've been playing this set for three years and it is one of the best TAMA ROCKS! they know how to make drums!
this kit sounds excellent
Wow, I love this drum set! It's my third set and it's amazing. I love the way you can modify it with the fusion set up, it's really nice. Out of all my friends drums and others I've played, I love mine to death. It sounds great and really smooth to play on. Tama is the way to go, don't be a fool and get Pearl.
I own a "gun metal metallic" color kit and I love everything about it. Since the day I took it out of the box it's been great to me. My two rack toms even came tuned, so that was less work to get to the playing part, and the whole thing sounds unbelievable. That's with stock heads and no BD pads or muffling or anything like that. The heavy duty hardware is what I've been needing big time, and that also always makes kits look beefier rather than the beginner smaller kits. Now all I need to do is add MORE!
the tama rockstar sounds awesome. the starcast mounts let you hear the sound of the toms better and the resonate more. the only complaint i have is the drum heads. i broke all three tom heads within two day. overall this is a really good drumset and is definitely worth buying.
this kit rocks plain and simple....and the bass drum sounds incredible...get it!
I just received this drumset for christmas and it is the greatest drumset I ever owned. The star cast mounting system is crazy, the bass drum has a nice boomy sound, and the snare drum is just a beast. BUY THIS SET IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
I bought these as a step up set from an old set of low end drums. MAN!! what an improvement it was! First and foremost the bass drum sounds incredible. The toms and snare are also wonderful and sound great at any kind of tuning. I would suggest it for any drummer but I think it does especially well in a rock environment. Buy these drums!
This set is amazing. You get such good quality and for a good price. The hardware is great. 5 year warranty. Shells are exquisite. Really nice resonating. Rings in a good way, a good ring. The drums are not dead whatsoever. It's all about the ring. Anybody can make dead sounding drums, just hit something. When playing live, the audience won't be able to hear you well without the ring. Even if they did it would sound awesome. Snare has nice sound. can tune it up or down, don't matter. I've heard snare drums sounding really weak, but there is nothing weak about this one. Starcast mounting system is really really fantastic. I love my drums.
I mean if your looking for a good mid-level priced drum set this is it. The only other choice is a Pearl Export set. I like the Pearl equvalent but I honestly like Tama Hardware and sound a lot better.
Tama Rockstar drumsets really sounds professional now with the Star-Cast mounting system and looks great. The hardware is very stabile. Only 1 thing disappointed me and it was the snare's sound.
awesome sounding drum set- perfect for doing heavier rock music and drum solos.
