      OVERVIEW

The best all-around drum in the S.L.P. series: G-Bubinga.

This 12-ply, 10mm Bubinga shell provides an extraordinarily punchy sound with a large helping of low-end. The combination of 2.3mm flanged hoops and low-mass separate lugs allow the Bubinga shell to resonate more naturally. While its suggested musical styles include pop, R&B, rock and country, the G-Bubinga is considered to be the best all-around snare in the S.L.P. series.

Comments about Tama S.L.P. G-Bubinga Snare Drum:

Fantastic sounding drum! A work of art too! At first I was gonna give this snare a bad review. I couldn't understand why a drum with premo features wasn't happening. I had it sounding like a bad field drum, that is, before I learned to tune properly. This is what you need to do: Don't choke your snare drum by over tightning top head or snare wires. Bottom head must be tighter than batter head but you also need to de-tune the lugs a little bit on each side of snare wires. When you do this you help create the snare bed & thus no need to over tighten the snare wires trying to force a snare bed. Of course you still have to do a little fussing with seating the head and use even tension at all lugs (except were noted on the bottom head.) My snare now pops but also is full bodied - just beautiful sounding! I also have the 13" Sonic Steel snare drum in this series and used this same tuning procedure on it with the same great results - very responsive!

Comments about Tama S.L.P. G-Bubinga Snare Drum:

This drum is worth every penny it can be used for just about any style of music sounds great with stock heads but changed it out to a evans hd dry
have had many snares over the years and this one is just about perfect from metal one gig to very light rock the next the looks and sound are sick dry but still lots of mid range and heavy bottom end. highly recommend this snare...
