If your on a really tight budget and you want professianal sounding drums for the cheapest price, the TAMA silverstar is for you. To me it sounds great and actually sounds better than the higher end drums which are double the cost. BUT JUST A HEADS UP!! THE BLUE CHAMELEON SPARKLE DOESNT LOOK WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN THE PICTURE! ITS MORE LIKE A DARK GREEN. only under light it will look like the one in the picture.

You cannot get a better kit out there for this money...Period. Fit & finish is excellent. Sound is great. This is basically a poor mans Yamaha Recording Custom and comes pretty close to sounding like one at a fraction of the cost. Easy to tune, stays in tune, great attack and as professional sounding as one could want. You can gig out with this kit professionally without a second thought. Hands Down- A Winner....

This is the best drum kit ever! Our church purchased it and I couldn't be happier. The tone on these drums are phenomenal and the stock heads aren't that bad either although I will upgrade to Evans EC2's of the toms and Aquarian Super Kick II for the bass drum. It's very versatile for ANY STYLE OF MUSIC! Plus you don't have to eq it very much because of the birch shells! There's too much for me to say about this drum kit. Did I mention it was....[$]?! You cannot beat a deal like this, the quality is what you'd expect of an high end kit costing at least $1k. Take note: the bass drum (thunderous), the snare (plenty of attack for either low or high tuning), toms (nice and open with a nice low tone). Simply put, if you're looking for a neato drum kit whether you are starting out or you're a seasoned musician looking for a touring kit for the road, then look no further. Just by reading this review you will not be disappointed!!!
