Double Bass, axis pedals, Evans G2 heads, and Aquarian Super Kick II Bass drum heads! This is a Great set for the money. With a add on here and there it's Perfect! I've had mine for a year and have used it for almost every week. It has held up very well. I added a rack and some Graffic heads and it Looks as good as it sounds!
These toms are an awesome expansion on to any Swingstar drum kit. The tonal value is good, and they can take a beating from getting moved around.Tuning is also a quick and simple task with these toms. The only thing I'd do is get new heads for the toms. The heads that come with it are ok, but might not have the right sound you're looking for. Overall, these toms are awesome for the price. Just because it's low end doesn't make it a bad product!
I have a 12" swingstar tom, but I was wondering if this comes with the L rod or whatever its called to mount it. I love my swingstar its amazing and really easy to tune, I love it!
Yeah its one of Tamas low end series, but it still sounds better than other top end drums. I have added a 8, 10, 18 inch drums to my kit which I play locally, I love playing my swingstar kit as much as my star classic traps I travel with.
it is an ok tom by tama but swingstar is also one of their lower class but sets. but the sound is good and it is easy to tune.
I own a swingstar and these are some tough heads, tune easily, and sound great. Every brand has its specialty and just flat out rocking is tama's. These toms are perfect for adding on to your drumset or replacements... whatever! There is one downside to these toms, and that's the fact that it's on the lower end of tama, as in stage and swingstar are the lower, so rock and starclassic are upper, but yeah, still great
I own the tama swingstar kit and the toms really give it a good sound. i like the toms because they are easy to take on and off of the set and they just have a great sound. i would recommend these toms to someone who is looking to play jazz, ska, and/or alternative rock.
I own a Gun Metal Swingstar. I love the sound. Tuning is easy and fast. The set started out as a 5pc and now is a 10pc. It has two bass drums, and all 6 of the hanging toms. I just need to get the 2 floor toms to make it a complete 12pc Swingstar Monster. The whole kit is great sounding and great looking. It also has all 7pc Ziljian cymbols and Remo heads on the toms. Evans Adjustible bass heads on both bass drums. Musician's Friends and Tama ROCK!!!!
I just got this recently and I cannot complain about the quality of this drum. Nice crystal sound and easy to tune!
