taye floor tom great boom for low dough

when I unpackaged the floor tom I was impressed how nice it was constructed. I put the legs on it got out my sticks and it sounded amazing. The heads that they come with are not cheap sounding. No need to change out  the  heads in opinion. I just put some  evans E ringers on it. I am looking  in to geting more mounted toms from taye.  I would say try them out.

This 18x16 floor tom is very smooth. It has all the depth you'd expect from an 18x16. I had two 16x16's before and it just didn't cut it. My Tama 16x16 is tuned to a low C and I tried to tune my other 16x16 to a 3 half-steps lower A, but it wouldn't resonate. I did the same thing with this one and it resonated FOREVER. I actually had to put moongels on it along with an Evans Hyraulic head to make it so it didn't overpower my kit. If you want a really nice floor tom for not too much dough, GET THIS!!!
