    Goods for the price

    Comments about Trophy Dumbek:

    It's all about perception with this drum. People are awed by the beautiful design of this drum. And few have seen one like it. But you also need to know what you're doing when playing it. The rim has a high tone when played with the thumb. The center has a disturbing low tone ring unless you mute it with the other hand when playing. Don't overtighten the head and you have a slick piece of Middle Eastern percussion.

    Comments about Trophy Dumbek:

    This little drum is a nice piece to play with something like a Djembe or some other kind of drum set. I've had some really good worship services with this little bugger, but the head piece bends easy if tuned up. I would recommend buying this IF and only if one knows what they're doing.

    Nice goatskins, worst tuning hardware.

    Comments about Trophy Dumbek:

    You get what you pay for! But it ain't bad for the price, if you put in stainless steel bolts and nuts. I find the rim alignment with the top rim inexcusable, and off center. The sound is okay for the price. I just got it, so how long the cheap metal lasts is unknown. It looked like it was never, never checked for quality. The only beauty is the design and goat skin.. It is from Paskistan..
