The guys at Vater really know their stuff; Hands down the best sticks on the planet!
These sticks are awesome! Great feel, great balance, superb sound on bell, great for stick tosses, and last forever. I started with Vic Firth then Pro Mark Then Regal Tip and now Vater and let me tell you, these Xtreme Design sticks cannot be beat!!
These sticks don't just break spontaneously, they wear and if you've been playing very long at all you know what i mean. They last a good while and I'm a heavy hitter.
Price is great

I like to go to the big display of sticks at Sam Ash a lot and just pick random sticks to try out, i came across these and have stuck with them. They hold up EXTREMELY well and i am a very hard hitter. No other stick have held up like these, they slowly chip away, of course. But, they don't split or break easily at all. As a couple other people have said, they are perfect length and are easy to manuever with. Awesome sticks.

These sticks are awesome! Great balance, perfect length and they hold up like a champ! I'm an active drummer, who plays all styles of music, and these sticks have been put through the ringer. I bought a brick of these sticks in 2007 and I'm still using the first pair! Get these sticks!

I have these in 5A Nylon tips. They are very durable, I've used the same pair for 4 months and they are still going! I love the look and feel of the sticks. A great buy.

I have always played Vater Drumsticks for over 2 years now. I have played the DSK's for ever it seems, but I've tries these for studio. They are alot easier to carry around my large set, Though I still use the DSK's live. I think these sticks will be noticed for what they are, and that is rock solid.

I've been playing Vater for years now after wondering why I haven't been playing them my whole life. Vater's Xtreme Design sticks are the perfect funk/rock stick. They are big, yet you can still play flowing fills and chops. They are loud, raw, but still sound good for jazz & melodic music. These twigs are a great buy, and if you don't play Vater now, you will after playing one or a few different pairs.

I bought these hoping they would feel good and get a good response and boy was I satisfied. They're light and just feel natural and wouldn't use any other. I prefer 5B nylon tips. Absolutely lov'em! What a hit!!! Get yours today.

I've owned these sticks for about one year now and I'm SO glad i've chosen and stuck with the 5A- Xtreams. One feature that got me sold was how well they are balanced. They almost have that feel weightlessness when you play. They are very solid, can withstand days of use before breaking, and the varnish coating seems very easy on the hands. Great set to play hard and or soft with because they are well balanced. You can also do wonderful cymbal swells with these sticks too, and there awesome on the ride! High hat play feels very smooth and even, because to me, your not constantly trying to find an even weight with other sticks. I also love the length of these sticks!! Definitely try a pair of sticks to try out!!

Great stick! I used to play the Vater power 5A model, but that broke too much. This is a step up. More durability and a smoother more even weight (a little heavier) but thats the way I like it. It's well worth a try.
