Sticks for effect

By

from midwest

Comments about Vic Firth American Classic Drumsticks with Silver Bullet Aluminum Tip:

Pretty expensive. I keep two sets but wood tips are where it is at.
Good stick for effect. Doesn't dent my cymbals. Does eat coating on snare.

They don't BREAK your heads....

By

Comments about Vic Firth American Classic Drumsticks with Silver Bullet Aluminum Tip:

These are really good, first of all. They're great if you like that kind of sound on your cymbals; if you play metal, I say get these. However, if you have coated drumheads, these will take the coating right off. I played for about an hour, and I could see through my month-old Remo Pinstripes.

Sweet! But...

Comments about Vic Firth American Classic Drumsticks with Silver Bullet Aluminum Tip:

These sticks make the hi-hats and the ride really stick out, but it looks like there are little nicks on my cymbals now. I think they take chips out of your cymbals.

Real bullet

By

from Martha's Vineyard , Ma

Comments about Vic Firth American Classic Drumsticks with Silver Bullet Aluminum Tip:

Just got a pair, look great with the aluminum tips, however my new pair got 10 seconds of use end it's already retired. I have a nice colection of zildjian ride cymbals. My 1st try was my 21" k custom special dry ride, two light strokes - 2 light dents, then I tried on my z custom power ride wich is a very heavy one, same thing no more than 2 strokes, after that didn't even took a chance with the others. If you love your cymbals like I love mine, forget it.

Yeah, the heads won't break, but....

By

Comments about Vic Firth American Classic Drumsticks with Silver Bullet Aluminum Tip:

So, these stick's are very high quality, like most Vic Firth sticks. There are just 5A's with a thin metal coating on the heads. I just found them to feel a little too top heavy, and they make cymbals sound very metallic. For durability and the price, they're great... I think they just offer lesser sound quality to 5A's. So if you want a pair of practice sticks with heads that won't break, go for them.
