I have been playing drums now for 8 years, and I have to say that this is the best practice pad I have ever used. The black side has the qualities of a marching snare, and the gray side is good for quiet practicing. The heavy weight is great because you can put it practically anywhere and it will still have the same good quality of rebound and precision. It may seem somewhat expensive, but if you're looking for an authentic snare feel, this is the pad to get.

I bought this pad because i needed to practice on something other than my leg and i wanted to save some money so i bought this pad. It is horrible, the soft "quiet" side is as loud as the hard side. I have no idea why other people are giving this pad high ratings, but i hate it. Spend a few extra bucks and go for the reel feel (or something better).

This is a pretty nice drum pad. The dual sides make this really cool. One side is soft and quiet, while one side is loud and hard, making this really cool. I have used a couple of other drum pads, but they were nowhere near as cool as this. It's a nice drum pad. I have the 6 inch pad but I would recommend the larger one though, because the 6 inch one is pretty small.

Well, that pad is the pad to get.. I have the 12 inche pad and its perfect. Black side for great tuning and counting strokes and the gray one isn't Quite, it's just quiter than the black one. I used to stoke on the PC chair but the rebound was horrible but this pad is of a Snare rebound. Well, for a person who needs a practice pad.This is it.

I just purchased this pad based off of what other people were saying about it on MF and I gotta say, I honestly didn't expect this. This thing is amazing. It's so heavy that I can get perfect rebound even with it sitting on a pillow (to help dampen the sound a little more). The 12" is great, but if it was offered in a 10" I woulda been all over it. There's nothing about this pad that I don't love. The construction is solid and I can't foresee this thing falling apart anytime soon. Perfect.

I'm a new drummer, but I got one of these before I even had a kit. I've used a few other brands of pads at lessons and I have to say I like the Vic pads the best. I got this particular pad and I'm glad I did. 12 inches is a perfect size, and the 2 sides are perfect! grey side for lower volume/ building muscles and the black side for hearing each hit and speed. doesn't get much better. I normally throw this pad into a snare stand but it is heavy enough that you could place it right onto a table and practice away without it moving. buy this pad!

I bought this when I first started playing drums. I have gotten a lot of use out of it. It works well for me. I put a Remo Falam slam patch on the black side. That helps me focus a tighter radius. I traced a half dollar on the grey side.

Get the 12 inch, the 6 inch is WAY too small and it's not even worth the money. A 14 inch would be nice, but 12 inches is plenty.
