Now you can practice marching bass drum anywhere, anytime with complete realism!

The Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Marching Bass Practice Pace is crafted with a barbell design and it mounts on any cymbal stand for vertical and quiet marching bass drum practice. The player can see stick angles, stick heights, and "side-to-side line-up" while practicing on a 14" wide setup just like an actual marching bass drum. The pads also let you know when you are not correctly centering your strokes by increasing the metallic volume when strokes are off-center. Sturdy steel construction with a mounting post designed to fit all brands of cymbal stands and 1/4" thick gum rubber pads for a realistic feel. Can be used with sticks or mallets.

Finally, a marching bass drum practice pad! Order now.

      I was kind of desperate

Comments about Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Marching Bass Practice Pad:

I wanted a bass pad to practice on without having to rig one out of pillows or old flat drum pads so I got this one. When it came I immediatly took all my cymbals off the stands to try it out but it didn't fit. I have many brands of cymbal stands and NONE of them worked. I eventually took an extra stand I had and bent the metal enough for it to fit. Even with the cymbal stand, it way too short to play standing and kind of awkward to play sitting. The pad makes the stand so top heavy, I had to duck tape the stand to the ground. I liked the fact that it made a metallic noise when not played right but even when hit directly in the center it still makes a pretty loud metallic clank. I like the fact that I can practice my bass music but its almost not worth the effort that it takes to set up.
