      Buyer beware !

      By

      from San Luis Obispo, CA

Comments about Vic Firth Jazz Rakes:

I am a an active musician and teacher. I bought 12 pair of these jazz rakes, to help my students get the feel of brush techniques. Within 2 months, all but 2 pair, had fallen apart! The nylon is held in place, with nothing more than a dab of clear silicone, which is not at all durable. I highly DO NOT recommend these over priced, under designed implements!!

      Look Elsewhere

      By

Comments about Vic Firth Jazz Rakes:

These are the worst I have seen in brushes. Simply-they do not stay open. Nothing like playing a gig or worse yet --recording, and have your brushes slide back down the shaft!!!! Look elsewhere if you need a synthetic brush. I will stick with the Pro Mark, as these simply do not work.

      Fell apart the first day!

      By

      from Waterman, IL

Comments about Vic Firth Jazz Rakes:

I was really excited to be playing some jazz tunes and that I actually had brushes in my own two hands, but as soon as I began playing I noticed that there were little red pieces of plastic on the floor. I picked one up and discovered that it was a bristle from my brush!! As you can infer, I was not very happy. They're nice, but go for the metal. They're the same price, and they don't fall apart.

      Good Vic Firth Product

      By

Comments about Vic Firth Jazz Rakes:

These jazz rake brushes by Vic Firth are good just like you would expect from Vic Firth. Brushes are retractable, lightweight, and sound fine.
