Comments about Vic Firth Single-Sided/Divided Practice Pad:

Very nice product from Vic Firth!~
I chose this divided practice pad as I won't have to turn over for different surfaces~
I can hit different surface at the same time or alternately for different feel and sound, and also creating a rhythm!~

Comments about Vic Firth Single-Sided/Divided Practice Pad:

The Firth divided pad that I just received does not match either the photo or the description on the Musician's Friend website. The pad I received is divided vertically and not horizontally, The colors are gray and black instead of taupe and black, and there is no promised 8mm mounting thread for use with a cymbal stand. Other than that, it seems like an OK practice pad. I just like the one pictured and described on the website a lot better.

According to Firth's website, they no longer make the taupe/black/mountable practice pad that is pictured here. And so Musician's Friend should update their website to reflect the product they are actually selling. I thought I had managed to find the old model -- it was the only reason I ordered from Musician's Friend (I could get the gray/black/no-mount pad any number of places).

      Vic Firth Single-Sided/Divided Practice Pad

Comments about Vic Firth Single-Sided/Divided Practice Pad:

The soft rubber side is great. The rebound and quietness is outstanding. The harder side is great when you want to listen to every stroke. The wood base is strong and durable. You can even mount it onto an 8mm stand. I sincerely recommend this pad to anyone who is trying to better their skills. You can train on the soft rubber and then see how you sound as an end result on the harder side. Outstanding pad. Very versatile. It's like getting two pads for the price of one.
