These are a great pair of sticks, good bounce, nice light weight. I have noticed some small problems with them though. I didn't see any one who has mentioned it but either the black paint or the gloss on the sticks make them somewhat slippery, so if you play alot of rock or get sweaty hands it will slip around alot. Yes, the paint chips and doesn't look great but that's not a big deal at all.

Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
These sticks are My choice of sticks, and while I am willing to use most any sticks for practice, I can't go on stage without a pair of these.
Their Sound is so great, so you get the best crisp sound of the cymbals. They do break after about 20 hours.
These Sticks are my concert sticks. whenever I have a paid concert I get a new pair of these sticks, because They are truly great and beautiful.

Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
These sticks are the best-balanced, most consistent quality sticks I've ever used. On my 4th pair now. Love them for rock, blues, even ballads where possible. Very solid click when it's time for that. Never concerned which one is in which hand, and they wear well (except when the other guy plays...). Would recommend to novice or pro, for anything louder than your living room.
Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
As with all sticks these days, the better the price, the better the value. Most products are right in there.
I have been using the Gadd sticks for years. The tip design is my favorite for cymbal sound. The diameter of the stick and the overall weight is great for me; generally speaking.
One thing that bothers me is Firth's seemingly inability to get the overall weight of the Gadd stick to be more consistant. It's all over the map and is a bit irritating especially when they are TOO HEAVY!!
I wrote them about it but received no response. Oh well......
Another stick I have grown fond of is the ProMark Todd Suchermann model. Made of maple, it is meaty but lighter and plays beautifully.
Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
I would not recomend for rock but a very small fun pair of sticks to play with........
Very Light and movable sticks
They Are Pretty Durable For their Size
Very Good
Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
Overall, the sticks are amazing to play with - just beware that they might not hold up as well as they used to if you a repeat buyer.
I've been playing with the Steve Gadd Signature sticks for nearly five years as a professional touring musician. I play light-medium rock, funk, jazz, and blues and the sticks have always held up great. Sure the paint would chip and you'd get the occasional internal crack that you could really feel when play fast grooves, but overall they would hold up for quite some time.
Recently, however; the quality has dropped significantly. I can tell in the color of the word from one broken pair to another that they are being made more cheaply. With little to no abuse, the sticks are splittle apart with the grain and unfortunatley, I'm in the search for a new stick. Hopefully not a new stick company.
I've written a letter to Vic Firth with my concerns, but I have a feeling my complaint might fall on deaf ears.
Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
Simply Amazing.... I love the nylon tip mainly because when ever I play on my zildjian "a" custom ride, you can really hear the ping to it.. (which I love)
Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
these sticks are amazing. they're nice and light for fast cymbal work, the barrel tip provides great articulation and the finish is so smooth. i also like tha fact that they come in both wood and nylon because i prefer the nylon tips which most signature sticks don't have.
Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
I do not care what everyone else thinks about these sticks (unless it's good). I am amazed by these sticks I have both versions of these sticks and they give me ECELLENT rebound as well as accuracy. I highy reccomend these sticks most people that use them do heavy metal or rock (and I do not recomend them to those people). But if You play jazz or church these sticks will be your best friend (just like they are to me). Like paradise.
Comments about Vic Firth Steve Gadd Signature Drumsticks:
I purchased a pair of the Steve Gadd sticks a little over a year ago, anticipating the purchase of a drum kit. Well, I was only able to purchase my kit about six weeks ago. In the interim, my Steve Gadd sticks have seen a ton of action on 3 different types of practice pads, as well as a relative's acoustic kit. They have held up remarkably well, despite abuse from my heavy-handed beginners technique. I highly recommend these sticks to everyone. I get good rebound from both acoustic and electronic drums. These sticks have well over 1000 hours on them and the paint is just now starting to wear down a bit. I have been so pleased with them, that I recently purchased another pair from MF! Also, I have severe carpal tunnel syndrome, and the Steve Gadd sticks have worked out much better for me, than my 5A's that I have, as well as some other sticks that I have purchased. Buy these sticks!!! You won't be disappointed! Happy drumming!
