Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

Terrific sticks! Nicely weighted and thin for fast sticking with a large unique tip that really powers toms and cymbals. They essentially give you the speed of a 5A with the power of a "rock" stick. Good durability. The stick will last long enough for the tips to lose chunks before the taper breaks. In other words, I tend to retire them when the tips wear down. With such a big tip, that takes a while... Not quite the insane durability of Vater's XD line but pretty close. If you seek more punch from your toms, you MUST try these TB Phase 1's.

          Nice Alternative

Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

I typically use a VicFirth 5A Extreme. I needed a stick with a similar dia. but with less taper at the tip. I have an issue with durability on the 5A Extreme's taper. This stick meets that criteria perfectly. It's is a little heavier at the tip than the 5A Extreme but very similar. It also has a little less rebound than the 5A Extreme, I am guessing because it's thicker at the tip. The tip design makes the stick lounder on my ride cymbal compaired to the 5A Extreme. It seems to be it would be a nice stick to play out with for a little more durabilty and volume over the 5A Extreme without completely changing your feel.

          A Great Stick

          By eternaldrummer92

Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

Today I was at my local music store and was looking at their giant wall of sticks. I tried different pairs of signature sticks but some felt too heavy or others felt too light. I like a stick that I can play fast with but not feel like I'm going to break the stick in 5 minutes. This stick combines a slim like design with a lot of power behind each hit. Perfect for live settings and recordings, when you want each hit to be heard, this is your stick. Truly a great stick and it's worth the price.

King of Duet Solos has a stick!

Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

Terry Bozzio is one of my many favorites so I just had to get his stick, and I have not been disapointed with it yet. It's light to medium weight but the helmet tip gives a lot of power to the rimshots or just heavy accented notes.

          Perfect for the non-hard hitter

Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

I am not a hard hitter by any means, but these little powerhouses are perfect for the metal band I'm in. They allow me to gain power and volume without the effort. They do everything they are meant to on the kit. I suggest that you only use them for loud gigs, because they are by no means made for jazz. These are very much comparable to Zildjian's Session Master, Vater's Nightstick and Promark's Tommy Aldridge model.

          Personal choice

          By Anonamis_Drummer

Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

Ever since I first picked them up i knew these were for me. the head is perfect for doing drumrolls but no so easy so that when you play 32nd notes your hand doesn't easily play rolls. the longer size is great if you don't want the cymbals hanging right by your face and you can still hit it. the thinner design is a real help for speed drummers everywhere. these are my personal choice for when drumming on the set and all around if I could only have one pair.

          Great balance, great price

Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

I play in a metal band with fast and often aggressive sticking. These are the most balanced sticks I've had the pleasure of using. They last a long time before splintering - have had NO breakage other than splinting. Sticks like these come across once in a great while. They're worth at least trying one set!

this stick rocks, the only problem is the wood that vic firth uses is kinda crap...it's hard to find a straight stick and they say in the box that is computer matched, weight and all other stuff.

I've never played with a stick that is so light or well balanced that can give me the speed and definition that I need for my style of playing. This is by far the best stick I've ever tried.

          Well Thought Out Design

          By Bongoman

          from Ottawa, Canada

Comments about Vic Firth Terry Bozzio Signature Drumsticks Phase 1:

Most of my drumming takes place in church music teams and studio. In both situations I've found these sticks to be excellent, particularly in terms of the fuller sounds they produce on all my toms - especially useful when it is necessary for some worship songs to play at softer volumes. The sticks took some getting used to for their slightly longer reach, but I found them very comfortable to use. Unfortunately my local store ran out of them, so I found a Zildjian Super 5B to be similar although not quite as comfortable as the Phase 1.
