      OVERVIEW

A China cymbal such as only the world's oldest cymbal-making culture could make.

Wuhan cymbals are, quite simply, the real thing. Hand-crafted in China according to centuries-old traditions, they are the standard by which all other China-type cymbals are measured. Terms like dark, explosive, and trashy only begin to describe the unmistakable, authentic Oriental sound of Wuhan China cymbals. Prized for their responsiveness, penetration, and distinctive tonalities, Wuhan Chinas are the first choice of top drummers from every style of music.

You need a reason to buy? Try this: It took me 20 years to crack my 18". Yes, you read that right, 20 years! I bought my china in high school when Wuhan still did the logo with spray paint. I'm 40 now & it split just last week. You simply won't find a better authentic china sounding, more durable "in your face" brand than this. I'd buy 2 if I could.

I had an 18" Wuhan Regular China which sounded fantastic and loaded with musical over tones, but I had sold it a while ago.I figured I'd buy a new one with rivets; bad mistake. The china sounds very muffled and the rivet sound is hardly noticeable. It also feels much more cheaply made, as if the metal used was changed in making the cymbal. I also don't understand why the 20" is twice as much. Overall, I'd wished I had bought a 20" regular china than this.

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal with Rivets:

As with most Wuhan cymbals, you could play 15 of them and 4 sound great, 9 average, and 2 real stinkers. Its a shame that they can't be more reliable in the way they sound, maybe they could charge a little more to make a better product. There might not be such a range of reviews from I hate it to I love it... the one I got was below average sounding, and I find to be very unsuitable to many songs. I pulled it from my regular rotation of chinas I'm hanging up, because I have better sound-quality, and more versatile china's from which to choose. Love their gongs though.

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal with Rivets:

I just got the 20" in the mail last week, and I'm very impressed. I love Wuhan chinas, but they always lack that little extra sustain I like, so I got the riveted model so the sizzle will fill out that empty space, and it does exactly that. The attention to detail with these cymbals isn't incredible, but the sound you get for the price certainly is.

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal with Rivets:

Picture lining up a row of shopping carts, mic'ing them all, and adding reverb. Then take a jacked-up monster truck and run them all over going about 80. Thats about how this china sounds.

Wuhan has always been an iffy brand for me. Some of the stuff they put out sounds amazing, other stuff not so much. As for this china I'd drop it in the middle. Right out of the box, i could tell this china wasn't a show stopper, but it could definitely get the mosh pit going.

It has very high attack, the first time i smacked it with my stick I jumpped back. Its crisp, sharp, punchy, and definitely raw. When I added it to the kit, it didn't fit well. My new toms had a clean tone, my snare was crisp and quick, and my kick packs thump. So when you hit this china it definitely comes as a sharp left turn to your ears.

BUT!!! Don't get me wrong, this china takes some time to break in, but when it does is meshing perfectly. I've had her for about 2 weeks, and its just now starting to sound like a good china. She has smack but its getting better. It takes some getting used to but when you do, she hits like a freakin' train, and sounds like an orchestra of screaming demons.

Not gunna be a buy-again for me if it starts to chip, but definitely not a bad buy for the price. I'm enjoying it's sound more and more everyday, just got to get used to it. Buy it and try it yourself!

Hit it soft or hard it sounds great. Just the diamond back sound I have been looking for and blends in nicely with aax cymbals.

I love this cymbal! its got an awesome trashy sound and it the rivets sizzle after you hit it. It sounds great but its pretty thin, hasnt dented or cracked yet (i have only had it for 1 week)which is good but it does sound very good. Buy it its worth it.

This cymbal is amazing, sounds soo good if you're looking for a trashy sound. amazing price and good quality. I bought the 22 inch and it is the best cymbal I have so far. The rivets really help it sound trashy and have a sizzling effect. Very good for Death Metal, Metal, anything HEAVY and low. Amazing for BREAKDOWNS!!! :D

Comments about Wuhan China Cymbal with Rivets:

I have a big kit--4 timbales, 6 toms, 11 cymbals--and I have 3 Wuhan splashes and 2 Wuhan chinas (and a few from other manufacturers) among my Zildjian A Customs. And my Wuhans never let me down. I wish I could play them more often in the style I'm working in! Just don't BASH them. Let them sing out out. Activate them--don't beat them. Treat them lightly most of the time and they will be more able to accept the hard bash when it's time! I love my 18" riveted cymbal and it makes a nice addition to my big kit. I just might buy another as an alternative ride.
