      OVERVIEW

The Wuhan Crash Cymbal has a balanced, bright sound for crisp accents. It features a quick response which then dies quickly. Its small size and medium-thin weight contribute to its bright, balanced characteristics. The Wuhan Crash Cymbal is formed from the B2 alloy used by many professional cymbals. Unlike other lower priced brands, Wuhan uses this high-grade material instead of sheet alloys. This cymbal is carefully formed and hand buffed in China using 2,000 year old techniques. The result is a higher quality cymbal than others around this price point. For an affordable crash that still maintains a commitment to quality, the Wuhan Crash Cymbal is your best bet.

An affordable crash made from the same B20 alloy as many high-end cymbals.

      FEATURES

      An affordable, good-sounding alternative crash.

I play in a metal band and I bought these cymbals for their dark signature sound. They are not by any means bright-sounding, but rather dark and explosive. If you are a hard hitter, think twice before buying these cymbals. They are medium cymbals, not heavy cymbals. I bought mine 5 months ago and they have severely cracked beyond repair and don't sound nearly as good as they did before (obviously). While I know how to play them without breaking them, one of my bands guitar players got on my kit a few times and completely destroyed them, leaving large cracks over just a few hours total of playing. Be careful with these, and use proper technique. They are not incredibly loud or piercing, so it may be tempting to hit them pretty hard - don't! The bright side is that they're very affordable to replace.

I own both the 16" crash and the 18" crash/ride. Interestingly enough, the 18" has a higher tone than the 16." I typically used the 18" crash/ride for heavier riffs coming off the hi-hat, used my 18" Wuhan china for most heavy breakdowns, and switched to the 16" for the really slow and nasty breakdowns because the 16" has the lowest, darkest, and meanest sound. They're great cymbals, but fragile. Use some love and care.
      Dark, gloomy sound.
Brilliant finish, good metal and sound.
These are the best bang-for-your-buck cymbals you can get today. If you're on a budget, these cymbals are for you. High quality B20 bronze cymbals cannot be found anywhere else at this price.

Where to begin. Lets start with pro and cons.Pros: B20 alloy, loud, decent sound, and inexpensive.
Cons: ( with mine ) Out of round. 3 rust spots from the lathing clamp that won't come out. The weight is very lopsided, you can feel when you hold it. 2 small cracks on the edge from flattening the cast. I also don't think it was rounded or edged. Very poorly lathed.
Bottom line: I wouldn't purchase onother one. Typical product from China. Poorly made.
If you're looking for cheap disposable entry level cymbals I'm sure these should hold you over for a year or so. If you're a pro or heavy hitter these won't last. Because of all the positive reviews I thought I would go ahead and take a chance. I'm going to keep mine as a back up. It's not worth the hassle to return. You always get what you pay for. Go Sabian or Paiste.

        Comments about Wuhan Crash Cymbal:

I already had a Wuhan 10" splash that I use as a crash for small venues playing Bluegrass and Folk. I loved the full crash sound of the splash at low volume...but I wanted just a touch more volume and power. I decided to try a 14" Wuhan crash. I could not find the actual "thin" crash in stock anywhere, so I decided to try the "medium thin" version. I was hoping for a larger version of the splash, but despite it's rather thin design, the "medium thin" is still more of a crash than a splash. I tried it out at practice and took it off after only one song. It has way more of a trashy China sound from the throne than than I wanted. I intended to return it for a refund the following week. Before I got around to sending it back, we played a large outdoor festival. Other drummers would be playing my kit, so I figured "why not throw the cheap Wuhan on the kit and let other people beat on it". Beat on it they did, and it gave me a valuable chance to listen to my own kit from the audience perspective. I was shocked at not only how GOOD the 14" medium thin Wuhan sounded from out front, but also how well it cut through the mix! It was nearly indistinguishable from my 16" Paiste Signature crash. In fact, I actually thought it sounded better within the context of a live band. To get that type of sound for this price is a rediculous bargain. I still plan on buying a 14" thin crash for low volume gigs and lighter music, but I'm keeping the medium thin for everything else.

          Comments about Wuhan Crash Cymbal:

I have bought many wuhan crashes and my absolute favorite is my 18" crash/ride. It sounds amazing and has taken quite a beating for several years now. It has a very explosive, full, loud crash sound. I don't use it as a ride. I have paired it on my kit with zildians and it is louder and the tone quality is very comparable. The price is between 1/2 and 1/3 of what a good paiste or zildian would be. For the sound and price, this cymbal cannot be beat!

          Comments about Wuhan Crash Cymbal:

Dont expect them to last more than 12 months unless your using them for jazz. The Crash cymbals sound very average at best, and i would be surprised if they really are B20 bronze as stated. as they sound more like B8's. If you have little money i would steer clear of these cymbals and either buy second-hand or B8's as they will pretty much sound the same and last much longer.

When I first saw this I thought it would be a poor sounding cymbal because of the price and i was on a budget so I bought it. But good thing I did because this cymbal sounds beautiful. I play in a my school's band and on a side project I'm working on, and this cymbals out stands it's self from the guitars and other instruments/ vocalist. I was amazed on how loud and explosive this cymbal is for the price. It's really worth the money

I just got this crash today. I love it. The bell on it is great even though its a 16 inch. the crash has a great wash. It feels like a medium thin rather then a medium. Upon hitting it it responds with a beautiful shimmery wobble The only negative is that when you get any cymbal you need to inspect the edge of the cymbal and sand away the nicks, of which this crash had a few. I am getting the medium heavy ride and several other cymbals from this brand. I cant wait to here what they sound like together.

I started my set with a Sabian B8 pack set with 20 in Element ride, these I love, very durable and accurate deliberate sounding. This crash gave me the missing link. My novice musical exploration has been expanded. I would like to add at least 2 more crash versions and a bell, though at this time my imagination has fit a bell in yet, I feel this crash opens up my horizon. Thank you guys.

              Comments about Wuhan Crash Cymbal:

This is honestly one of the best buys you can make for your drum set. I use this cymbal at our church as kind of a filler cymbal with my aax xplosion crashs, ride, splash, and hats. The Wuhan costs less than half the cost of any of my other cymbals and it delivers a very good quality sound. The only downside is that it won't last as long as the expensive cymbals. This is definitely a great buy for someone with a low budget and that doesn't hit hard. I highly recommend it.

I received one of these for my birthday and it has blown me away. I play anything from classic rock to metal, and this cymbal gets it all. It has the nice crash-y sound everyone looks for but is hard to come by in cheaper cymbals. The quality is amazing and you get a lot of amazing sound for such a low price. Generally speaking, cheaper crashes aren't the greatest, you usually end up playing them and they almost sound like a very large splash cymbal, but not this. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, novice or experienced alike! The only con i could find is that if you would like to play the bell for an effect type of sound, it lacks there. But leave that for your effect cymbals, not your crash.
