Wuhan

An affordable crash/ride made from the same B20 alloy as many high-end cymbals.

This medium-weight Wuhan 18" Crash/Ride Cymbal is happy to perform double duty for you. As a crash, this cymbal has the size and weight to speak out over loud music, with a clear, bright tone and full sustain. As a ride, it has the clarity and articulation to serve well in small-group acoustic situations or in the studio.

The best crash ride cymbals money can buy? No.
The best crash ride cymbals so little money can buy? Absolutely.

Wuhan cymbals don't presume to challenge the sound quality, variety, or reputations of the fine professional-level cymbals on today's market. But when it comes to being affordable, that's another story.

Generally, "affordable" cymbals are made of less-expensive sheet alloys, using shortcut manufacturing methods and finishing steps in order to keep the cost down. With the resulting cymbals, you pretty much get what you pay for.

Wuhan cymbals are made of high-quality, cast B20 alloy. Handcrafted in China according to two-thousand-year-old traditional methods, this Wuhan crash/ride cymbal is buffed to a brilliant finish, and stamped with an unobtrusive but attractive logo.

Great Cymbal at Unparalled Price - Should Cost way more than what it's priced for

I love this cymbal!! It's not even a "crash ride" so they might as well get rid of that part...but it's a pure crash cymbal!! I have an 18" AAXplosion crash and 17" HHXtreme crash and it blends beautifully!! I'd much rather buy 2 of these, make a homemade O-Zone and go to the studio!! I'm serious!! I love this cymbal!! Would recommend it to anyone who asked me about it!!

wuhan 18" crash/ride not for everyone

Features:

I usually really like the wuhan cymbals. This one is so thin though that unless you are a soft player it doesn't really work as a crash or a ride. There is also not much of a bell.

Quality:

for the money, wuhan does make some nice stuff.and this seems to be a decent enough quality cymbal

Value:

for cymbals this cheap , its worth taking a chance on.

Overall:

this is a nice cymbal, but unless you play very softly it is really more of an effect type cymbal and not something you would use regularly

This cymbal is defiantly different. Very jazz appliciable. For just over $70, I highly recommend getting this, unless you're willing to pay a lot for a heavier crash that you can ride on. It's very loud, but I think it will get a more mature sound and quiet a tad. Very long sustain. has a trashy/washy sound that you wouldn't normally expect from a crash or ride. but I still love having it.It seems very sturdy, so I don't think it'll be cracking soon.

Quite Frankly, this is the best crash/ride that can be had for its price! the sound is very crisp and washy, great for riding it on music breakdowns. the quality is great, very profesional and feels like it'll outlast some of my other crashes!  will be looking into upgrading to all Wuhan cymbals soon.

I feel in love with the Wuhan cymbal line when I purchased their splashes and china cymbals. I believe their splash cymbals are some the best I have ever heard. That being stated, I was excited to try out my first Wuhan crash cymbal. When I received the cymbal and got it out of the box, I struck it with my hand and was greeted with gong-like undertones and what I would consider a very "washy" cymbal. I agree with other reviewers and don't really recommend to be used as a alternative ride cymbal. The cymbal does generate a nice ping, but that is quickly overtaken by the wash created when the cymbal is struck. As a crash it is not a quick and explosive cymbal but seems to build in intensity when struck. Riding a crash is very popular these days and I think this is where this cymbal really shines. I have only played it a few times so I can't comment on its durability, but if it's anything like my Wuhan splash and china cymbals, it should give me a long period of use.
