      OVERVIEW

An affordable crash/ride made from the same B20 alloy as many high-end cymbals.

This medium-weight Wuhan 18" Crash/Ride Cymbal is happy to perform double duty for you. As a crash, this cymbal has the size and weight to speak out over loud music, with a clear, bright tone and full sustain. As a ride, it has the clarity and articulation to serve well in small-group acoustic situations or in the studio.

The best crash ride cymbals money can buy? No.
The best crash ride cymbals so little money can buy? Absolutely.

Wuhan cymbals don't presume to challenge the sound quality, variety, or reputations of the fine professional-level cymbals on today's market. But when it comes to being affordable, that's another story.

Generally, "affordable" cymbals are made of less-expensive sheet alloys, using shortcut manufacturing methods and finishing steps in order to keep the cost down. With the resulting cymbals, you pretty much get what you pay for.

Wuhan cymbals are made of high-quality, cast B20 alloy. Handcrafted in China according to two-thousand-year-old traditional methods, this Wuhan crash/ride cymbal is buffed to a brilliant finish, and stamped with an unobtrusive but attractive logo.

This is one of my favorite cymbals. It gives a rich, washy, sustaining ride like the thin cymbals from the early to mid 1960s (Keith Moon's ride sound comes to mind), and transitions from a sustained washy ride to a fullsome crash most beautifully. As a crash the attack is rich in tone character and the sustain and decay are marvelous. The bell has just enough ping to cut thru a full drum kit. This Wuhan sits with five other cymbals on my kit--smaller crashes, splashes, and a heavy ride that's much more pingy than washy--and provides a great timbral contrast. I'm a recording artist, and I switch out the other cymbals and use this one as a mainstay. I've been rather spoiled by this cymbal, and prefer it to a number of other name brands that cost two or three times as much. The silver finish goes beautifully with the golden/amber finish of my other cymbals. I can't praise this Wuhan enough, and the price is just additional good news.

this is a nice cymbal, but unless you play very softly it is really more of an effect type cymbal and not something you would use regularly
I usually really like the wuhan cymbals. This one is so thin though that unless you are a soft player it doesn't really work as a crash or a ride. There is also not much of a bell.
for the money, wuhan does make some nice stuff.and this seems to be a decent enough quality cymbal
for cymbals this cheap , its worth taking a chance on.

            Comments about Wuhan Crash/Ride Cymbal:

Needed to replace my old crash ride that cracked after 20.
I set it up with my practice kit at home as my main ride.
I was so pleased with it I am making it my main ride. Since it fits better in my gig case.
But less experienced drummers would need to understand a cymbal like this has a lot of wash and requires a little more exact technique to control it. Which is good practice anyway.

This cymbal is the best for the price in any league, the sound is just beautiful, you can take out so many sounds and tones, good definition, nice volumes, it's a peace of chinese art, i used with my SONOR MARTINI KIT, and in can't stop play. Dont miss time, get this cymbal nowww!!! The only problem for my is the tiny logo, looks cool but its to small, the picture of the cymbal looks bigger, but when im look i see a diference, but still nice, when you play u forget that detail.

              Comments about Wuhan Crash/Ride Cymbal:

Took a chance on this since it's B20, but was pleasantly surprised. On my finger, a small hit was like a mini-gong. A good strike made a shimmering crash. A little thinner than I thought it would be, but shouldn't bend or dent. If you're riding hard, it will start to wash. After I mounted it on the stand, a lot of the gong sound diminished. Gave it a good whack and GEEZ it was LOUD. Played it along with my old Zildjians and Sabians and it compliments them great. Very happy with this purchase.

                    Comments about Wuhan Crash/Ride Cymbal:

This is a great crash cymbal for the money. The sustain is amazing. The overtones are music to my ears! IT IS NOT A RIDE CYMBAL! If you want a ride cymbal, buy a ride cymbal. I also have a 14 inch china that I have had for 15 years now. I have been a professional-working musician/educator for over 25 years now, and I have pushed for many of my students to buy Wuhan cymbals. The cymbal sets, rock splash sets are amazing, and the finish is brilliant! If you need to satisfy your ego and have "name brand" cymbals, go ahead and spend several hundreds more. Wuhan has the competition beat hands down. To me, Wuhan IS a major, competetive brand name. I would gig with a complete set of Wuhans if my set was equiped with them. Wuhan is the best kept secret! Keep up the phenominal work! I hope more musicians from novice to pro give Wuhan a chance.

The bottom line is that my two Wuahn cymbals compliment my Zildjian and Sabian cymbals EQUALLY.

I am fairly new to drumming, and while I haven't quite mastered anything yet, I have quickly figured out what sounds I like, especially when I compared this to my original drum cymbals (no-name specials), and the ZBT line. To me, the Wuhan has a warmer sound, more than enough sustain.. and it is VERY well priced. I now have 3 Wuhans, and looking to get rid of my last ZBT around the holidays. BTW, I am not using the 18" as a ride, only as a crash.

This cymbal is beautiful. A great finish, a terrific sound. I have a fellow studio musician that swears by his K Customs, and then I let him borrow my 18" Wuhan New Traditional Crash Ride, and I have offically converted a sworn K Custom user. His kit now has both K's and Wuhans NT. They are beautiful.
