Wuhan Splash with Cymbal Arm  

The sound of this splash is fantastic. In my opinion, the $200 splash cymbals from more mainstream brands don't hold a candle to this one. The clamp goes on any cymbal stand and isn't awkward at all. If you're going to buy a splash, it had better be this one.

I just started drumming about a year ago, and I've tested many splashes cymbals since then. This cymbal has more of "small china" sound to it, but it's unique and a great addition to any set. (Get the 8"!) But the arm...very agitating. I would recommend not using the arm and stack the splash on a large crash by placing it on a felt on top of the crash, which sounded great and saved room.

If you have to buy this cymbal, just plan on buying a different freaking arm. The cymbal ITSELF isn't bad.  It's a little china-sounding, but I can bypass that. Everything but the cymbal is going to be a nightmare. First of all, the thing can't tighten to human comfort.  I tightened to full strength, and it would still rotate a good foot after 10 hits.  So I took a wrench, which you can predict was a bad idea, to tighten it.  I twisted the lock nut at least 25 times. It still moved just as easily. I tried one more full rotation and before I knew it, KABOOM.  It just explodes.  The wingnut comes flying out along with the clamp and the locknut. I'm exchanging it in for a full new set of heads.

I've had this splash for about a year now, and it has held up well. no dent nor warping. The first time i heard it, i was sold. i think the only drawback was the arm. it didn't really extend far enough so i would hit the splash cymbal rather than accidentally hitting my crash.

I think Wuhan is awesome because it saves you a lot of money on Cymbals (especially splashes and China's Because their like no other and sound great). With this Wuhan Splash with Cymbal Arm package your better off buying just the cymbals and buy a arm separate because its the same price but, you are getting a more reliable Arm.
