Comments about Yamaha 7210 Chain Drive Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I've had this for around 5 months now. It came with my Yamaha Stage Custom Set. When i first got it, it was great, but since i have a heavy foot, the felt beater is getting flat. Also, the lug on the bottom that holds the spring has come off around 3 times in the middle of songs. After really tightening it up very well it hasn't come off since.

Excellent no-nonsense drum pedal. Only drawback is lack of spurs to grab and keep from sliding.

            Excellent Pedal for the Money

            By Andy-QE7SJ

            from Michigan

Comments about Yamaha 7210 Chain Drive Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I purchased this pedal from Musician's Friend as a spare for gigs; one that I would only use in an emergency in the event my main one breaks down. It just arrived today and after checking it out and playing it, I'm wondering why anyone would buy an expensive model when this reasonably priced pedal does the job. It's smooth, well-built and collapses easily for storage. It may not be as smooth or have all the bells and whistles of a $300 pedal, but I really don't notice the difference as I could play everything on this pedal that I can play on my expensive Yamaha pedal. If you disagree with me and don't like the pedal, Musican's Friend is awesome about returns.

            Awesome pedal

Comments about Yamaha 7210 Chain Drive Single Bass Drum Pedal:

This pedal came with my Yamaha Power 5 Special kit. Its a great one, it has some good features. The adjustment is easy, its pretty lightweight, and the design is pretty cool. my only gripe about this pedal is the felt beater, i wish it was a rubber or wood beater. but thats my problem and probably not yours, so overall its a great buy.

            Good Pedal for the money

            By Fyrhazzrd

            from Indiana

Comments about Yamaha 7210 Chain Drive Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I've had this pedal for a little over a year now. My only real complaint with this pedal is the lower spring nut. It is always backing off and falling off in the middle of a song. It got to the point to where I would have to check the tension after every few songs. I finally gave up on it and applied lock-tight to it and have not had a problem since. I also had the same problem with the beater rod. I applied lock-tight to that as well.

Comments about Yamaha 7210 Chain Drive Single Bass Drum Pedal:

I am a giging drummer, and I have used many high end pedals including double pedals. I got this pedal as a gift, and was amazed by its versatility and smooth feel. I have used it in the recording studio and it is absolutely noisless. It folds up compactly for easy transport night after night. It is also extremely light weight. Do yourself a favor get it you will not be dissapointed. This is also the best price I have seen on it.
