Comments about Yamaha Double-Braced Lightweight Boom Cymbal Stand:

This is the best cymbal stand that I have ever used. I can't believe it is so affordable. Just from replacing my massive gibralter tanks with these, I didn't lose any noticible stability, and my hardare bag shed about 20 lbs.

Pretty decent, but you can get better if you pay more...

Comments about Yamaha Double-Braced Lightweight Boom Cymbal Stand:

This stand is okay and functional, but I guess you have to pony up the hundred bucks if you want something "rock solid" and/or featherweight. On the plus side, this stand folds up compact, and weighed only about a pound more that the single-braced boom stand that came with my Premier kit, (i.e. 7lbs 10 oz on my postage scale). On the negative, with it's smaller footpring it actually seems less stable than my existing Premier single-braced stuff. I bought this because it has the three sections... and I need that to be able to mount and adjust both a rack tom and a crash cymbal on the same stand. I was hoping it would be stable, but actually there seems to be a fair bit of play/wobble, even with the adjustment clamps tightened up. Also, when hitting the tom, I get a weird buzz/vibration noise out of a section of the stand, which is a total drag for recording. It's one thing to have to muffle your drums, but now I gotta put moon gels & gaffer tap on my stands? Not bad enough to send back, but I don't think I'd buy another one of these again. Had hoped I would've been able to get a decent stable, quiet stand for this price point... maybe I was dreaming.

    I love it!

Comments about Yamaha Double-Braced Lightweight Boom Cymbal Stand:

Overall, I would recommend buying this over many other stands.
I currently have a mixed group of cymbal stands, and this one is by far the best. It is possibly the sturdiest stand i have ever used in comparison to how lightweight the frame is. The clutch nuts are easy on the hands, which ultimately makes it easy on the hands when tightening during setup and take-down. Also, the price is very decent for something so functionally sound. I plan onn buying many more of these in the future once i get more cymbals.
    Great.
    Decent.

    Solid Stands

Comments about Yamaha Double-Braced Lightweight Boom Cymbal Stand:

These stands are great, the are solid and pretty light weight. I currently own 3 and plan on buying about 4-5 more in the very near future. Could not be happier.
It holds a cymbal, what else could you ask for?
I own 3 that I have had for the last 4 years, they have been gigged heavily and not given me any problems
The price is great for such solid stand, would pay more than what is asked to get more, glad I don't have to.
