    A Great Snare.

I bought this snare after my Pulse snare exploded from being tuned too tight. I got it, without the badge (Thanks a TON GC, you and Yamha were BOTH unhelpful with this issue. But this is about the snare.) and it sounded GREAT for a few months. Overtightening it screwed it up, I stripped tension rods, and had to use industrial strength wire snips to cut them. This was when I was a beginner, since then, I have grown to use more technique and have much more skill. I refinished the snare in the shop, making it look great with an exotic, crackled brown/red wavy finish and a great, shiny coat of shellac. I have new tension rods and lug inserts on the way along with Remo Fiberskyn and a reso that are already here. This snare will be up and running again in a week, and I am THRILLED to have it beat the crud out of my Pork Pie. I also plan to start up this badge battle again. And, (Raising right hand), I WON'T OVERTIGHTEN THE THING. By the way, I should add that the snare is thirty bucks more expensive at my GC. Good deal here, if you trust buying drum equipment online. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

Im normally playing on Ludwig gear, but I tried this snare today and I must say, as soon as I save the cash im nabbing it. The response on this snare is unbeatable. The dynamics is amazing too. It sounds just as good playing softer jazz beats as it does digging in to it for rock. incredibly versatile. Buy it, I swear you wont regret it.

I have owned many different snares from many different Mfgs. Most of which are higher end drums. This snare is a perfect fit for me. It  has a nice crack, great tone (focused ring), and a great pop...and you get all of that with every note .... 13 inch size is an instant chops enhancer and more fun to play than a 14". Great  build quality and VERY little sympathetic vibration. I get consistent compliments from sound techs and people out front. My only concern is after laying into heavy rim shots, one tension rod loosens alot.  I think it will work itself out as I break it in and re-tighten. Overall, a great sounding and playing drum.

I'm a professional drummer who must play different styles, from hard rock to latin Jazz and definitely this snare is very versatile. I can tune lower and reach a deep sound nice for play rock... and tune a higher pitch to play drum'n bass, funk or pop
