The largest sheet bronze crash cymbal that Zildjian has ever offered, the 20" Crash Ride is preferred in rock settings where maximum crash cymbal sustain is needed. This cymbal fills a ton of musical space with a full-bodied cushion of mid-range sound. It may also be used as a light ride cymbal for jazz settings.

I do not have any experience playing this cymbal, but I have heard it firsthand in a live setting. A hardcore/metal band played in a small/medium size venue (300 capacity) and their drummer used this cymbal as his main crash cymbal. In the description it says,"This cymbal fills a ton of musical space with a full-bodied cushion of mid-range sound." Which in reality means it's dang loud and it sounds like cheap trash. The cymbal is loud, but it's not unbearably so. What IS unbearable about it, though, is it's frequency range. It does, just as advertised, have a very prominent mid-range pitch and unless you wear earplugs (which I did after about their 2nd song), you will probably permanently lose some of your hearing sensitivity. What can you expect from a sheet cymbal, though? My advice would be to, for similar cost (cheaper than this when on sale), look into purchasing the Wuhan 16/18 crash pack with a free 18 China. Those cymbals are all cast and are of very high quality.
I have had this cymbal for years and love it.It's just a great over-all crash/ride cymbal!I can't think of one thing negative that I can say about it!
