Created specifically in a 21" size to pay homage to Armand Zildjian, the Zildjian A Series Custom 20th Anniversary Ride is a medium thin cymbal which delivers a sharp ping and nimbly transitions to a glassy crash. Ideally applied for alternative or pop rock, country, funk, R&B or Latin styles, the A Custom 20th Anniversary Ride Cymbal was developed by the Zildjian Sound Lab to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Zildjian A Custom Series. If the warm sustain and excellent stick definition aren't convincing enough, this 21" cymbal will be produced with white ink.

I am a semi-pro drummer of over 35 yrs. in my 50's now. I have many types of zildjians for different use. This one is for soft to med use. Great ping for praise worship,variety band,med volume. Great crash. NOT FOR the hard hitters. This one is not for that..Get a k crash ride brilliant that has Great volume,attack,crashable,great bell.This 20th anniversary is the best for small to med clubs,church,small combo,etc. A little pricey,but worth it. Limited production. YOu will find them into 2013,but by june of 2013 year won't find them,if so you'll pay dearly for them.get one now.

I have been playing drums for 14 years and am currently in a hardcore band called Witness. I have used a lot of different crash and ride cymbals, but this has to be the best one I've ever played on. I play all styles but the style I focus on right now doesn't require me to ride on cymbals too much. So for all you heavy hitters out there that like to use rides as crashes, this is right up your alley. It is a medium-thin ride so it has really good flex and bright sound with a pretty moderate low tone. When just playing around on my own, I do some ride patterns on it as well and it has a great ping sound on the surface and bell. It's just a shame they are pretty limited since they are only made in 2012. Won't find another one like it for this price.

I play in and band called The Dead Mary's. I use a lot of ride so its an essential part of our bands sound. If you are looking for a combination crash/ride then buy this custom 20th Anniversary Ride Cymbal. Its so versatile its amazing. When hitting the cymbal lightly you will get a beautiful crisp/clean sound. When hitting the cymbal hard with the edge of your stick you get an amazing cutting crash sound. When hitting the cymbal hard with the tip of your stick you get something in-between. You can get a million different sounds out of this one cymbal if you keep practicing with it. And the bell is large and amazing. Not to mention its going to be a limited edition and an investment with the price and demand guaranteed to increase in future years. Zildjian really out-did themselves with this A-custom!! Happy sticking : )
Custom white logo and being built only in 2012
Eye candy all the way. Has that beautiful A-custom shine and a nice white logo instead of the boring black.
Middle of the road price. Worth its weight in gold though. Only being made in 2012 so its an investment in my mind. With any limited edition instrument it will surely go up in price in years to come. Just keep it clean and well maintained.

I had been looking for quite some time for a particular ride sound. I had looked at the k custom session ride, and the k custom hybrid. Then I saw that zildjian had come out with this for this year only. It was exactly the sound I was looking for. A crisp clean stick definition, but sounds great as a crash. This has all that. As I mentioned above, the cymbal not only sounds great, but looks great too with the white ink and special logo that they are putting on a customs for this year only. Since they are only making this cymbal this year, if you have the money, I highly recommend buying one, you will not be disappointed, and you have the chance to own a quality limited edition instrument.
I love the large bell that this cymbal has, and it really cuts through quite well. The brilliant finish and the white ink make this cymbal eye candy.
The Zildjian name says it all, when you buy a cymbal made by them, you get quality. I would never consider buying a cymbal by any manufacturer that isn't Zildjian.
While as always the price on anything can always be lower, I am a firm believer in the phrase you get what you pay for, and this is no different. This is a quality instrument (as are all the cymbals that I have ever played by Zildjian), so it is well worth the price.

It's an amazing cymbal with unique looks and very nice sound. If you have the money... buy it. It's only available during 2012!
This cymbal is custom out of all of the other A Customs that there are. It has a white logo on the top and botto along with a laser print that says "1992 - 2012" marking the 20th Anniversary. It also has an amazing ride sound; no overtones (personal preference) and a pingy bell which i personally love. It can also be used as a crash which i thought was awesome for more versatality!
It's very shiny and sounds just awesome. I would recommend it for rock, jazz or funk (i play all 3). I wish it was a little thicker because i am afraid it will break (i am also a hard hitter).
The price could go down just a little but for the customization on it, sound, and limited quality (only available for purchase during 2012) i would get it.
