looks like the reviews already speak for themselves but i gotta add- this cymbal is delicious. PERFECT tone for what i needed. the 20'' was too big and washy for me, but i needed a bigger sound than an 18'' so obviously i got the 19''. it has just the right amount of wash but still comes through crystal clear on the recordings. paired with the 22'' a custom ride, the duality hits the eardrums just rights. theres a reason a customs are the gold standard, get ahold of some! if you cant afford them new, they maintain their sound if you can get them used as well.
if you are trying to decide between a's, k's, or z's, lemme offer this. a customs are the all around good-for-everything cymbals. they are loud enough for rock, but can be played more mellow as well. k's have very dark tones, great for jazz and related styles. great cymbals as well but they get lost in the mix if you have a lot of loud guitar tones to keep up with. z customs, although discontinued, are LOUD, they are typically heavier and have a different composition than the a's and k's. perfect for rock, probably even good for metal. the only problem is finding them sometimes.
hope it helps, keep rockin.

I bought one of these fine cymbals, thinking it would sound perfect. For a short time, my 16' a custom crash sounded beatutiful, and flawles. However, the quality turend out to be pitiful. I play grunge, and this cymbal cracked extremely bad in no time at all. If you play the least bit hard on your cybals, dont even consider this product. What a waste of $$$.

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Crash Cymbal:
I've had the 18" for about 4 years and it's been a great cymbal. The weight is fairly thin which makes it a very responsive cymbal. Easy to build up a lot of wash, or it has a full crash sound. I've used it as an alternative ride with my K Ride. The bell has a nice loud ping sound. Probably not ideal for those that want to play really hard, but it makes a great crash or crash ride!

Comments about Zildjian A Custom Crash Cymbal:
I purchased this 18" crash as a part of the A-Custom cymbal pack. Sounds and looks amazing. Less than six months later I discovered its already cracked. Greatly disappointed. Been playing 20+ years, experienced professional, I know its not from abuse. I had cheaper cymbals last years and years that I had to switch back to after the A-Custom cracked. Perhaps it was just defective in its production. Didn't even purchase the warranty thinking these also would last years and years. Might get another but get the warranty this time.
Comments about Zildjian A Custom Crash Cymbal:
A wonderful crash for any situation! I own the 19 inch cymbal and I love the tone. I have mine paired with an 18 inch K Custom Fast Crash and they are perfect together. I highly recommend this cymbal!
Excellent quality!
Well worth the price!
Comments about Zildjian A Custom Crash Cymbal:
I have the 17", and it's always been my favorite crash. It's got a beautiful low pitch, but it still cuts through a rock band. The problem is I've cracked two of them in as many years. It's also the only cymbal I've ever cracked. Zildjian sent a new one after I broke the first, but now I'm out of luck. It still sounds great (the crack is only about an 1.5 inches), but when that expands, I'll call it quits with the A customs. I snagged an 18" K Dark Custom, and it seems to be a little thicker and more durable, but with a similar sound.

I wouldn't buy or play anything other than A customs! The sound and quality just cannot be beat!
Comments about Zildjian A Custom Crash Cymbal:
Great cymbal sounds amazing...really mixes well with my paiste pst 5 ride sabian b8 crash and hi hat. Has a bright sound to it and definately great for any style playing and over all a great buy (though slightly over priced).
so its a great cymbal in all ways the tone is great it has a high crisp sound and fades very well and matches any playing style.
The cymbal seems like it would be delicate so dropping it or knocking it over mite cause problems...but as far as hiting it with drum sticks it can atke a beating...great make and custom formation of the bell and over areas.
a little over priced. Its zildjian so your paying partly for the name but is a great buy regardless of the price
Comments about Zildjian A Custom Crash Cymbal:
I got the 14" crash last Christmas (6 months ago) and I loved it and I still do!!! The sound is awesome and it barely looks like I've used it, just a bit dirty that I polish/clean off once a month!!!
I chose the 14" because I had just gotten my drumset a year before and it only came with a crappy crash/ride from Pearl (Pearl drums are awesome btw).
I desperately needed a better cymbal and I was low on cash, so I chose this and I don't regret it one bit.
I plan on buying some off the bigger sizes in the future!!
Get it!!!!
