OVERVIEW

Focused, bright, totally professional sounds.

The A Custom Cymbal pack includes a 20" ride, 16" crash, and 14" hi-hats, and a free 18" fast crash.

The Zildjian A Custom 20" ride has good stick definition, yet good degree of colorful, warmer undertones. The 16" crash has a tone that's natural, bright, not too high, not too low; it speaks very quickly with beautiful warm undertones. The hats have a light, crisp, subtle tone, very colorful with a delicate stick sound and a clean "chick". The 18" fast crash has a short decay, nice high-end pitch and quick response.

Developed with the assistance of Vinnie Colaiuta, A Customs are made using radical rotary hammering techniques; thin weights; and a striking, brilliant finish for crisp, sweet, sophisticated sound.

I have owned these going on 6 years and they have held up perfectly. They sound great! The 14" mastersound hats have a great "chick" sound even though they have a high polished reflective finish. They are way more durable than Paiste Sig. series. I also would suggest the 17" crash... If I had to make a complaint about any of the a customs it would be the splashes. The 8" splash is great but go smaller or higher than that and there are other cymbals that sound better. The 18" china has a great pitch and all of these cymbals cut through great in small venues. For sound and durability (a giging drummers top priority) These are for you, with a mirror like reflection of stage lights like no other to boot!

I heard a whole lot about how incredible these cymbals were and how many musicians used them, so I figured I'd try them out. They sound very muffled and each cymbal has a different tone, not like the kind you'd expect to be in the same family of cymbals. Dissapointed with the false rumors, they'd be a better "high end starter set" IMO

Not sure about these

What one likes in the sound of a cymbal is a very individual thing. It's all about ones ears and how a cymbal fits the genre of music one plays. For me, these cymbals sound very average. They are not much better sounding than Zildjian's beginner sets. I think this is too high of a price point for what you get.

these cymbals are awesome. I have had mine for over a year and have been completely satisfied. The crashes are very bright and penetrating. The ride sounds good and has a good bell if you like to play it. The high hats are bright also. I personally like the zildjian master sound high hats better but these sound really good. All in all this is a great set for anyone intermediate to pro.

great cymbals

I don't have the pack, but I have mostly A custom cymbals. I absolutely love them, still, which is saying something since I purchased them when I was thirteen and I've played tons of styles of music since then. They got me through a jazz 5 peice, a ska band, poppy bands, and even one psuedo punk endeavor. I don't think they'd be good for metal, they seem to bright for that to me. I would recommend the 6" splash on top of the pack, it's such a fun little cymbal. Go over to your local store to check them outin person if you can, but trust me, you'll find a better price here when you're ready to buy.

Awesome.

I purchased these cymbals recently, I had always wanted a nice sounding, good set of cast Zildjian cymbals and these were just that. As soon as I put them on and played a bit with them I wasnt AMAZED but I liked them. That night, however, I played a gig and that all changed. They were amazing. To get their best sounds out you need to really play them in a big open setting(not just a small room). I'm loving them.

Zildjian A Custom Cymbal Pack with Free 18

I got this pack back in july and so far its the best purchase I've made for my kit. They are awesome sounding but some good advice is make sure you play them in a open area because when I first got them I played em in my room and I thought I had just spent oodles of cash on some average sounding cymbals but after playing them in a gym with our pep band they sounded amazing. So get this pack and you wont be dissapointed, but if you have the money check out the HHX's from sabian. I play those on a regular basis at school and they sound great with any kind of music.

Zildjian cymbals beat all

I have a hodge podge of cymbals in my kit and only one Zildjian. I really only like one of the cymbals in my kit, my 15" A custom crash. These cymbals have been made by Zildjian since the 1700s and I don't see nor have I heard any cymbals that sound better. I was looking at this pack thinking I could get a better deal than if I purchased them separately. It's the "traces of silver" that I believe make these cymbals sound so unique. The A Custom line is a lighter weight cymbal and I'd imagine not intended for the louder heavier types of music. However, I mostly play Pop and rock and these cymbals come closer to making the sounds I hear on records then any others I've played or owned.

Try Recording with them

By Tallguy28

They are BRILLIANT cymbals with quick reaction, and fast decay. Anyone playing jazz, these are a must. They look sharp, they sound crisp, and they are used by professionals, PERIOD! If you are a hard rocker, these should be accent cymbals. Of course, you aren't paying attention to detail anyways, so I would suggest buying trash can lids.

Versitale Cymbals

This cymbal pack is a great start for any up and coming drummer to identify or create his/her own sound. These cymbals are also very versitale. I got the pack with the free 14" fast crash and I love it! But having those cymbals helped me realize I needed bigger cymbals along with my A Customs to get that tonal variety I was looking for. Why not buy professional grade cymbals now and get a FREE cymbal? These cymbals will perform great 4 you until you get your endorsement. If these cymbals are good enough 4 Dennis Chambers then why not me & you. These might not be the ones for you but you can get the same deal(4 cheaper might I add) with the A series cymbal pack.

AMAZING CYMBALS

By MetalDrummer666-DhI9F

I was looking for a good quality, good sounding cymbal. It also needed to be durable and take a beating. I had a choice between the Sabian AAX and the Zildjian A customs. The guy there played them both, and right away I could tell the Zildjian's were way louder, and had a powerful, cutting sound. The AAX cymbals were warmer, and didn't have that cutting sound. Since I am a metal drummer, I wanted a cymbal that would be loud and keep up with the big Marshall Halfstack my guitar player has. People say Zildjian aren't for metal... I beg to differ. GREAT BUY!! Get these and you won't be dissapointed.
