The A Custom Rezo Hi-Hat Cymbals from Zildjian possess a redesigned bell that produces extra volume when needed. The medium top and medium-heavy bottom incorporate the innovative design techniques of Zildjian, by alternating bands of spiral and full lathing techniques while using both Traditional and brilliant finishes.
Strategically placed cutouts on the outer edge of the bottom cymbal help to produce a warm but precise "chic" effect. These hi-hats still produce the warm blend of overtones that is expected from the acclaimed A Custom line of cymbals.

When I first saw the price on these, I was a little on edge about buying them. I hadn't had much experience with zildjian's rezo line, but had heard some good things. I bit the bullet and bought them and while it does seem like a lot of money, you definitely wont be disappointed in these hats. I finally have a clean defined sound from crashes to hi hats. They sound exactly like your stereotypical hi hat should(actually better). I would go ahead and pay the extra for these because they give such a clean and clear sound, and they come with zildjian reliability. The 14'' hats also make them very, very versatile. So spend the money and buy these hats.

I've been playing drums forever and have used almost every kind of hat. These 14" rezos are by far the best. Solid click. Cutting both open and closed. A little too cutting, maybe, for jazz, but perfect for pop, funk, fusion, and blues. Never thought I'd be excited about hi-hats, but I am about these! (I just wish they they cost a bit less.)

I've been a die-hard Sabian user for years - and generally as a rule I'm not much for Zildjian; but Zildjian sure got it right with their ReZo series cymbals.I was using a pair of 13" HHX Groove Hats and I loved them until I started playing in a band. I needed more cut and clarity; I figured I wasn't gonna get it done with a darker cymbal. I bit the bullet on these and I am not sorry in the least. They are simply the most clear, cutting, precise, toneful hats I have heard yet. Do you want to stand out? Give these a try. Way to go, Zildjian.

I just recently got these hi-hats in the 14" size and I must say I had my suspicions with the rezo lathing on a hi-hat but from the moment I played them, WOW! that uncertainty went straight out the window. These hats are really amazing. Extremely versatile. VERY pronounced chick. Like the mastersounds Zildjian puts out, the six cutouts in the bottom allow for venting of air which results in a very precise "chick". The top hat is relatively thinner so for extremely hard hitters I wouldn't go too crazy (I own three other sets of hi-hats including a pair of A Zildjian new beats, an older set of Z customs and the newest version of the discontinued Z customs)then again they are cast bronze. Still I think the thinner top gives it more of a delicate, whispy sound. They are very bright, lush, and crisp. Sweeter sounding than any of the other sets I currently have. Very good colorful tone and overall wash. Soft and delicate but if you need them to sing and project volume these hats can do that as well very effectively. The dynamics are really amazing with this set. Zildjians are my favs and with this design they certainly haven't disappointed me. If you play jazz to harder rock these hats can fit a wide variety of styles.
