I play an electronic set due to space and noise restrictions and these sticks are perfect for electronic sets. The impact makes just enough noise and has a very good rebound. These sticks are very lightweight and almost give the feel they're cheap or break easily, but this is not the case. These sticks lasted far longer than I expected and they only cracked because I got angry and broke them. The only drawback is in the grip that sets these sticks apart from others. The grip will tear away and seemingly disintegrate over hours and hours of playing. While the grip is there, it is very functional. The grip feels like a nice even layer of electric tape, but a rubbery feel and better grip. I just ordered another pair yesterday with a green grip.

First I bought a pair of 5a nylon tips to try these out. I was impressed! Jammed on them every-so-often when I needed an extra ping on my ride (my main play is on a wood tip stick). The next time I needed some new sticks I picked up two pairs of the 5a wood tips. First session I played with them, about an hour in... SNAP! It was the one in my left, which was only hitting the snare and toms! I don't rim shot, so no clue there. The next pair only lasted about 2 sessions, snapped on the crash ride. A week later I snapped another the same way. I don't play much (maybe 3-5 hours a week), but I am a heavy hitter. Went back to Pro-Mark American Hickories and I'm getting a month or two out of them.
Love the feel and the wax dip keeps them glued to your hands.
Snaps in half easy.
In the range of all other sticks I guess.

Comments about Zildjian DIP Drumsticks:
The dip end of these stick didn't last very long on my last couple pairs; Once the "rubber" coating wears through, they are worse than a regular "bare" stick because the rough edges of the worn rubber can cause blisters.

Comments about Zildjian DIP Drumsticks:
Love the balance of these sticks, the weight, and the dip grips. I used to switch between 5A and 5B sticks, now I only use these. Good job Zildjian !!
Comments about Zildjian DIP Drumsticks:
not worth the money unless you have gloves since they dry to your hands
The sticks are not balanced right and the grip comes off after a while and then they are still not balanced right

not worth the value
Comments about Zildjian DIP Drumsticks:
I use'm, for the last 9 or 10 years now. Stopped the uncontrollable flying drum stick...DUCK...slipping outta hands thingy. They do dry out my skin so I wear Zildjan drum gloves...works for me.
Comments about Zildjian DIP Drumsticks:
Fits my style and likes. Durable and comfortable to use.
I have used these sticks for several years. They are durable and the feel of the grip of the sticks make it more comfortable in playing. The only negative is the erosion of the coating if you stike the rim of the drum. The finish chips and eventually peels off. The nylon tips are durable and not prone to flattening out with hours of playing.
Comments about Zildjian DIP Drumsticks:
Decent sticks. A tad light for my taste, but not enough to cause me grief. I like the grip rubber stuff. They are a bit spendy. I wouldn't buy a gross of them and use them for practice. Buy the" cheap-o- by- the- gross- bundles" to make sawdust out of. Use these for gigs or whatever you consider " special occasions". Unless you are made of money, than buy a truckload of them and go crazy.

fff
The grips on these sticks are pretty awesome. They are easier to hold on to, but when your palms get too sweaty, they will still fly out of your hands.
Quality: They are light and well balanced and so far have proven to be very durable. It should be noted however I'm playing on an electronic drum set, so the beating the sticks are getting isn't as harsh as it could be.
Value: Given how I feel about the quality, the value of these sticks are tremendous. Most of the other sticks I looked at were horribly over-priced. I bought a brand I recognize and known for their quality. I feel like I didn't spend too much on these sticks, if anything I got a pretty good deal.
Overall: Well worth the price. Consider getting yourself two pair, they're just that awesome.
