Constructed from U.S. laminated birch, this is a heavier than normal weight version of our popular Jazz Wood Tip drumstick. Aside from providing a very solid feel and additional durability out of the compact size stick, the material produces high-pitched tones on instruments and a super solid cross-stick sound. The stick is ideal for drummers who want a normal sized stick with additional weight and heft. The oval bead produces warm tones with a moderate amount of overtone. Great for jazz, rock and concert snare drum applications.
Constructed from phenolically-impregnated and laminated US birch.

I use these drumsticks in my jazz band class, and in my playing at home. They have a great weight and balanced feel, and are great for jazz, funk, latin, swing, rock, and metal. Very versatile for a great price.

I like the feel of thinner sticks, like a 5a but I prefer the sound and weight of thicker sticks. I was a little hesitant to get these because of the cost and I prefer nylon tips but I can say without doubt that these are the best stick I've ever owned. I love the weight and the way they open up a cymbal with less force than hickory.

These sticks are great for jazz (as you might have guessed) There some of the tuffest, heaviest sticks I have ever used. They have not broken yet for me, they should last forever since they are laminated! They are just about the coolest looking sticks around also! My stick holder is full of them, buy them now!

These sticks are great. They have a heavy feel, which is actually really great once I got used to them. They are also extremely durable. I've been playing one pair for a while now and the sticks still look nearly brand new. The wood is also really good looking, in case that is important. Definitely a must-buy.

I bought these sticks several months ago, and they are some of the best sticks available. They feel heavy at first, but you soon get used to their feel.I am a pretty hard hitter, and these sticks can withstand a beating. They bounce better than Ahead sticks and last longer than travis barker zildjian sticks. Buy them now, you will LOVE them!!

I bought a pair of these sticks about a month ago at a local music store. At first I was a little hesitant because normally I like the brighter ping that a nylon tipped stick gives on a ride cymbal, but the tips on these don't have that mush feel when striking a cymbal or cowbell. I often hit the bell of my cymbal with the center of the stick to produce a high pitched ring, in which case other sticks I have owned break in half or breaks chunks off of the tips. However these sticks have put up with it, the shaft of the stick is not becoming frayed or splintered from rim shots or any other such abusive use. There are hardly any gouges or dents either. These sticks are definatly worth giving a shot.

These sticks are extremely durable and produce the perfect jazz sound on a ride. It took more than a year for them to finally break, and I immediately bought a new pair. I would recommend them to anyone looking for great jazz sticks at a decent price.

These sticks didn't break during the show...no they broke BEFORE the show! Brand new! To expensive for how long they last. Their thicker weight throws the 5a size off balance, but they do sound good.
