Comments about Zildjian K Cymbal Pack:

I LOVE these cymbals. I got these just last night, but I had some time to check them out thoroughly.

The hi hat might be my favorite part of the whole ensemble. Beautiful, crisp pedal response, extremely warm open sound with just the right amount of wash.

The 16 inch crash is probably my favorite of the two crashes. Both sound phenomenal when you swell on them, but the 16 inch has a great attack with a nice quick sustain for emphasizing. The 18 inch roars deep but quickly as well. I could easily see metal drummers enjoying it just as much as anybody else. I wouldn't hammer on it all day though, because the crashes are thin. However, despite being thin, they feel and look strong. Constructed very well.

The ride could be the only gripe I have with the whole set, and mind you it is only a matter of preference. It is a little too washy for my taste, but it sounds beautiful. I did a cymbal swell on that bad boy with a pair of mallets and it made my heart smile. With sticks you can even manage a decent crash sound out of this, but I wouldn't recommend it. This cymbal was designed for jazz, and for that reason, I will still enjoy it and likely not sell it. The sound is a little washy, and there isn't much bell articulation at all. What I am probably going to do is keep this, and also buy back the K Heavy Ride I had to sell long ago. THAT ride is indescribably beautiful. Perfect ping, perfect balance of wash, and great stick definition.

All in all, this pack is a GREAT all around cymbal pack, no matter what genre you play.
This cymbal pack has a nice variety of extremely versatile cymbals. I've been able to play a lot of extremely varying genres with them.
When you see and feel and hear these cymbals, you can tell they are of amazing quality. The craftsmanship is amazing, and they are quite beautiful to even look at.
For the price of this pack, I can't really think of a better value. These cymbals are much more expensive if you were to buy them separately. I was so excited when I heard about this because it screams value for a top of the line product.

Comments about Zildjian K Cymbal Pack:

I was in the market for a new set of cymbals to replace my Meinl MCS and had spent about 6 years of my drumming career considering myself to be a Meinl guy. Do not get me wrong if it weren't for Zildjian I still would be a Meinl guy, but I could never find the "right" ride sound in the Meinl catalog. So one day while perusing the internet for ride cymbals I stumbled upon Zildjian, a company I had been purposefully avoiding because of their seemingly monopolized stranglehold of the cymbal market. But I digress, when I heard the K ride cymbal I was blown away the perfect combination of stick definition and dark, warm washy undertones, I was sold instantly. So I began to research the entire K cymbal pack from the hi-hats to the crashes understanding that buying these cymbals in a pack was much more economical than buying them separately. The hats also sounded unbelievably good, beautiful chick sound with just the right combination of "woody brightness." So after 2 weeks of double-checking sound-bytes and videos, I decided to pull the trigger and buy the pack. I got the cymbals and they were everything I hoped they would be, wonderful bell on the ride, awesome stick definition, with beautiful wash. The hats are beyond wonderful, I just would not recommend them for extremely heavy music, but if you are looking for some shimmering, dark (but not too dark) hats, you should check these out. And now to the crashes, both of them were just icing on the cake, I got the pack for the hats and the ride primarily, but the two crashes are just beyond beautiful, they give me that warm feeling inside when I strike them with explosive attack followed by shimmer that decays exponentially. The K cymbal pack by Zildjian is a wonderfully arranged set of cymbals at an unbeatable price and they are so dark in color that I am thinking about getting a ZXT medium-thin crash to offset their nether presence. If you want some dark, slightly dry, warm cymbals get these, they are the best buy in town.

Comments about Zildjian K Cymbal Pack:

These cymbals definiely provide that dry low dark sound I wanted but my pack came with a ding in one crash and the ride was warped. This could be a QC issue or bad packing at the factory. Musiciands Friend is making good on a replacement but we'll see if the new cymbal set is up to muster.

These cymbals are the sound I look for in sessions and live shows, they perform very well. I had an older set that were damaged by falling on the edges, always transport the cymbals in a case or bag.

Comments about Zildjian K Cymbal Pack:

I've plaved Zildjian since 1978. This is my first set of K's and I have been missing out all thoughs years. I have always wanted them but usually played heavy or hard rock. These beauties probably wouldn't have lasted but that never stopped me from wanting them. Now I have them paired with a great little jazz kit. AMAZING!!!!

Comments about Zildjian K Cymbal Pack:

This cymbal set is great. The Hi Hats are crisp, and the Ride has a nice "ping" and nice bell as well. The 18" is dark and warm, and the 16" is brighter but still warm...sadly it cracked in 6 months..soo i would suggest getting the insurance! I play gospel hip hop r&b and once in a while rock and it is very versatile set.

With the Zildjian K Pack..you get what you pay! Quality, Warm, Dark and Crisp sound singing to the heavens.
