Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

Best hats I have ever played. I was a sabian hh user for more than 25 years and I had not touched a Zildjian in that time and I had a chance to give some of these matersounds a test drive and I immediately had to go back to Zildjian. Not only are they the best sound hats I've ever used the just look so nice. I also purchased an 18" K Custom dark crash with these hats and currently in the process of switching my whole set up to Zildjian. When a cymbal has been around for this long they must be doing something right. You will love these hats.

    14" K Mastersound hi-hats

    By Donald LeJeune

from Ten miles north of Boston, MA.

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

I have owned 14" A's Regular, Mastersound, K's in Regular and Mastersound. The quality of sound, durability, projection and overall satisfaction playing all types of music lies in the 14" K Mastersound.
Drummers can't go wrong when selecting K hats for all types of music.
K's have an edge over the A's. Paying more but giving you more.
If you're looking for one of the best hi-hats go with the K Mastersound

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

I obsess over cymbals. I spent countless hours looking for the perfect hi hat pair and I definitely found it. These mastersounds provide a very clean chic, great wash, and everything else a drummer could want. I play all styles of music so I needed a very versatile pair of hats. This fits perfectly with every style of music. If you want to save a ton of time then just buy these cymbals because you will not find anything better.

    Hands Down THE BEST!!!

    By Memphis

    from Athens, TX

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

I've searched for that perfect sounding set of high hats for years and have finally found them. I hesitated given the price, but have played high hats much more expensive and none of the others compare. The quality is incredible and they sound like what a set of high hats should sound. They cut through the mix great and have the perfect high hat chick sound. They also sound absolutely gorgeous in the studio. My opinion of their sound is relative, so find a set and try them for yourself if you can. Nevermind, just buy these high hats, you will be pleased!!

    Wow

    By Dr. Spencer

    from Poteau, OK

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

I just got these hats today and man am I blown away. I was gonna get a pair of Sabian HHX and while looking at them I saw in the similar products box these hats and decided to take a look. They were on sale for $330 and originally price at $400. So I decided to jump on the deal knowing Zildjian has amazing cymbals from experiance. I got them and set them up and was amazed by the warm but dark sound with an amazing "chick" and amazing pedal definition due to the rippled bottom. I would recommend these hats to anyone. If you are looking for a new set of hats these are the ones to get.

    Best of the best

    By Palmtrio

    from Minneapolis, MN

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

After cycling through many different hi-hats made by many different manufacturers I finally bit the bullet and picked up a set of K Master sounds. Loud, cutting, articulate, perfection. I was worried that they might be too thin, but was pleasantly surprised by their medium/heavy weight. Plenty of heft to back up a LOUD rock band. These are no sissy cymbals- these are the real deal.

    A new classic...

    By Dannydrumperc

    from San Juan, PR

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

I wanted these hats ever since reading their review at Modern Drummer. Mines are 14?. They have the warmth and darkness associated to K Zildjians but with an enhanced projection due to the anti-locking ripples - no weird hum when closed tight - on the edges of the bottom cymbal. The bottom is very heavy, which also helps to increase the volume. The top cymbal is lighter with a very nice bell. These cymbals work perfect on almost any setting. Have also tried the 13s, which are higher pitched and quieter; a more delicate sound. I just love my 14s ? excellent cymbals!!!

    SIMPLY AWSOME!

    By Paul-lbozY

    from Lake Elsinore, CA

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

I purchased these recently and they are perfect. Before I chose them I listened to samples of every Mastersound Hi-Hat Zildian makes on their website. These sounded the best. I feel like a kid at christmas every time I play them. They are crisp and clean and cutting. They sound great open, closed and everywhere in between. Sometimes I'll just sit down and play Hi-Hat solos, just to hear them. Buy these, you wont be sorry.

    FANTASTIC Hi-Hats, IF...

Comments about Zildjian K Mastersound Hi-Hats:

Ok drummers, listen up. I'll be very honest with you here about these hats. In my studio right now I'm using two pairs of hi-hats-- 14" K Hi-Hats, and 14" K Mastersound Hi-Hats. Both are remarkable. But here's the real difference between the two, for all of you that are trying to decide between k's and k mastersound's...The normal K Hi-Hats are tight, crisp, dark, washy when partially open, and for me, are best for rock/pop/fusion, primarily because they are so tight and crisp when you're laying a groove with the hats closed tight. I personally like the normal K hats 'cause they're just crisper, to be honest (And they're the hats that Will Champion uses, from Coldplay)Next there's the K Mastersound Hi-Hats. They also have a slightly washier open sound, are a little brighter in pitch, and cut through the mix with less effort. HOWEVER, when played with the foot down, and hi-hats closed tight, there's not alot of volume on the "stick chick"... the hi-hats have a slight high-pitched overtone as well when tapped, due to the ridges on the bottom hat. So I don't use these hats when I want a solid pop/rock beat. However, if you lean heavily towards the Jazz realm, I'd say the K Mastersound's are a no-brainer. If you want a crisp, tight, groove-laying set of hats, grab the K Hi-Hats...
