This china is awesome!!!I'm a huge August Burns Red fan and Matt Greiner uses this china in his set up. Cut's through beautifully. Easily my loudest cymbal. Decays fairly quickly for the size and overall is a great buy.As great as this china sounds, it's not going to sound great right out of the box. It needs time to be "broken in" from my experience at least. Give it some time, and this will be a great sounding china.

This cymbal has an enormous sound. It cuts through everything when playing live, and its really good for breakdowns. The quality is horrible though. I literally had it for a few months and it got a crack in it. Gradually that crack became bigger, and bigger, then chunks started to fly off off it until it sounded like hitting some sheet metal. You're better off buying one of the cheap wuhan china's than this,(which sound just as good) unless your a Zildjian fanboy. The biggest flaw in my opinion is the price, for the quality of the product, the price is ridiculous.

Comments about Zildjian Oriental China 'Trash' Cymbal:
I got this cymbal (the 16" model) as my first china because I wanted to play heavy metal and was astounded by its sound in my local percussion shop. The sound is amazing- Very bright but a hint of dark, extremely trashy, extremely short sustain, and cuts through ANYTHING. Yes the sound was amazing, but I don't think this china is meant for heavy use like breakdowns every song or even for very hard hitters. After about 8 months of semi-frequent use, it has developed a small crack parallel to the turned edge, right where it meets the body of the cymbal. Fortunately, the sound is still alight, but now I have to be very careful with it, using it for accents only and no more breakdowns. The crack has been slowly growing and leaves this horrible sizzle if you play the china by itself. Overall this is a near perfect sounding china, but its just not durable for heavy hitters/music. And at this price point this is quite disappointing. I'd probably buy the exact model again and use it for only accents, and get a cheap replaceable china like a Wuhan for breakdowns and such. So it's a great cymbal, just be nice to it :)

Comments about Zildjian Oriental China 'Trash' Cymbal:
This was my first china cymbal, I have had the 16" model for about 8 months now and the sound is amazing. It's bright but just a hint of dark, extremely trashy, short sustain, imagine the perfect breakdown cymbal that is also perfect for a bright, crisp accent. My only gripe with this cymbal is that at such a high price point, it is not durable for heavy use. Mine developed a crack in the brim, which fortunately doesn't render the cymbal unusable or take away too much sound, but we all know once a cymbal cracks its the beginning of the end. I would buy this again, but refrain from using it heavily as I don't think it's intended as a workhorse cymbal. I imagine if I only used it for accents it would last years or longer

The 18" is my second china. I am a music gear snob and only play Zildjian cymbals. But hey, they sound the best to me. This one is no exception, took me a little while to get used to it but it accents snare hits so well. glad I own it

Comments about Zildjian Oriental China 'Trash' Cymbal:
Best china ever. I really don't think there is any other china that sounds better. I tried out every single one at my local music shop, and I picked this one for a reason. Zildjian has been around for several hundred years, so they've established a good name and reputation for themselves. This cymbal just stuck out to me, soundwise and lookwise. I got it, and it's now on every kit I play. This cymbal is my baby. I would recommend making it yours too.
Comments about Zildjian Oriental China 'Trash' Cymbal:
I own the 18 inch cymbal and it is a wonderful addition to my other Zildjians! It really adds to the effects and it cuts through any type of music. It goes quite well with the 11 inch china splash! I highly recommend this cymbal.
Excellent quality!
Well worth the price!

wow this is a great piece for every drummer.
Comments about Zildjian Oriental China 'Trash' Cymbal:
I have the 18" and the 13". These chinas are BEAST. Matt Greiner of August Burns Red uses the 18" and the 12", but I personally like the 13" better than the 12" so I got the 13". Absolutely brutal sounding. The 18" is perfect for breakdowns and the 13" is perfect for an extra small china effect. WARNING: The red letters come off much easier than the black letters if you clean your cymbals. It actaully look my red lettering entirely off. Doesn't really matter though, I wasn't a fan of the red anyway.

recently bought this thing for my kit, and i have to say first and foremost:THIS THING IS FREAKIN LOUD! if you want a china with a sound that will cut your audience in two, this is for you. love this thing, dont play on any set without it. highly recommend it to anyone
Comments about Zildjian Oriental China 'Trash' Cymbal:
I bought this used off a friend of mine. This thing is AWESOME!! This is actually the first china I've ever actually owned (other than little 10" and 12"), but I've used Wuhans and the only thing they have over this thing is the price. GREAT quality! Unlike a Wuhan, I think I could run my car over this thing without damaging it! Great sound, great quality, if you have the money, BUY IT!!
