I got this cymbal pack for christmas along with a Ludwig drumset. The Crash/ride is a little slow to make sound when hit. The HiHats have a good air-tight sound when closed. But they don`t sound too good when opened. They look really dirty by the first month because they show every-single fingerprint. They haven`t cracked since I got them (3 months) and I`m a hard hitter and play almost everyday. They`re not better than the Zildjian A Custom cymbals (of course), but they do the job for me. I recommend these cymbals to beginners, or drummers on a tight budget. :)

I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I CAN STRESS YOU TO TELL YOU TO NOT GET THESE!!!! Ok let me tell you something about these. I have been over someones house before and played drums with these on them THEY SUCK! The Crash-Ride sounds like someone has abused it! The sound is TERRIBLE! It sounds pretty much like an annoying bell or a China! If you want symobls that will last you only a week than i reccomend them but they will suck. Out of the box there are alright but in a week u will dread playing the drums because of those sucky symbols. The hi-hat sounds like an annoying bell! You have a dead sound when you hit it. DONT GET THESE!!!

Planet Z Cymbals

By Ash-g0mh4

These cymbals are going to disappear fast, because they don't last long. I'm saying they are not that good because they are fingerprint magnets, and don't sound that good. But beginners should be comfortable. You should definitely buy better cymbals in the first place.

Okay Beginning Cymbals

When I bought my drums these cymbals came free with them. After a few weeks playing the bottom hi hat was bent. The crash ride doesn't ride very well, but it is okay for crashing. I have now upgraded to Sabian AA. these cymbals are okay for starting, but I wouldn't waste the money. Go with some thing better.

Good for Beginners...

When I first started drumming and was looking for some great cymbols I came upon these... At first they were ok when i was playing them. But, after a month or so the cymbols get an extremely bad look that picks up every fingerprint on it. The Hi-Hats are alright but the 18" Crash Ride is a bit slow with it's sound. But, for the price I will say it's worth it. I will recommend this set to beginning drummers who are just looking for some some symbols to start with.

Finger Prints!?

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

If you give these a bad rating because of finger prints, your a complete and total idiot. I gave these a 4.5 because they arent the top of the line but their dam close. Zildian did a greatjob makin cheap and descent sounding cymbals. The ride does work fine for a ride cymbal and even better for a crash. The bell sounds good too. The hi hats sound loud and crisp actually. They have a nice tssss sound when you open them up.So get a pack and try em out because a finger print WILL happen.....O boy o boy....

Great for Starters and first buyers

By Defcon719

These cyambals are good if you're starting out. I mean, you get what you pay for. I have, but don't use the ride anymore, the 20" ride 16" crash and the 13" hi-hats. The hi-hats go good w/ harder stuff. The ride has more of a jazzy sound. The crash is okay for everything! Happy Hunting

Alright

These sounded great for a while. They were good until they broke, which was way to fast. I meen the sound is fine, but these cymbols breack and scratch really easy. For starting out it's alright, but don't waste your time you'll just have to by new everythings.

Good Cymbals

By drummeraddict

Well, I just recently got a Ludwig set that came with these cymbals. These are obviously great for beginners. There is however one major flaw... these cymbals tarnish easily and show every finger print. To fix that, I would recommend the Sabian cymbal cleaner. The cleaner restores the shine, and sort of takes care of the finger prints. The sound is a beginner sound, so I would recommend upgrading after a while. Over all, great cymbals that are worth their price.

Bad idea

Ask me a question

From my understanding, these are a step below ZBTs, and ZBTs are bad enough. Though these are priced idealy, they're probably made out of low-quality metal and sound like garbage-can lids. Unless you're buying these for a "might-be" drummer under the age of 10, don't buy them at all.
