I've been drumming for some years now and had these cymbals when I first started. Their about 4 years old and the hi hat has cracks BUT.. it sounds very good (was not like this at first) it was to meataly at first but over time the sound gets better. The crash broke after a year or so and I still have the ride (the ride as well got better over time) I'm gona try to bury the ride just to experiment since I just got a K Custom dry Ride (which is sick. But for the price these cymbals are great.)

I've had the Planet Z z4 pack along with the 18" Crash/Ride, and there's not too much good to them. First off, they're made of brass so don't expect them to sound all that great. Second, they'll take A LOT of abuse (I've had em for 1 1/2 yrs and no cracks!!) but under heavy hitting and large sticks, the edges dent like crazy! My Crash now looks like a mastersound!! The Ride has way too much wash and ring in my opinion, the Crash is pretty dirty-sounding and also very ringy. My hats are so dented I can't play them closed anymore, and even when they are closed, they still ring!! For a beginner on a low budget, these might do for a short while, but I highly recommend Sabian B8s or ZBTs over the Planet Z.

Cymbals

By SuperDrummer

These cymbals are a good purchase. They are definetly good quality cybals, and look like they can last a while. The ride and crash have a long ring, but the hi-hats have an extraordinary sound. Very pleasing purchase for a good price.

Awesome Cymbals for any drummer!!!

These cymbals are awesome! My friend has some on his kit and I played them for about 5 minutes and they sounded way better than the Sabian B8's that I own. The hi-hats have a very defined "chick", the crash sounds very dark, and the ride has an awesome ping. I am going to buy these a.s.a.p. I would really recommend these cymbals for anyone from begginer to pro, these cymbals are awesome!!!

What more do you expect?

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

For those who bought these cymbals and were dissapointed, i think you must have made a poor product decision and were expecting too much for their price. Do not buy these and expect an A Custom sound. These are merely a personal practice cymbal... nothing more. I suggest the ZBT's for garage bands as they are a fair bit better quality (for the price) and their resale is better.

A great buy

By Anonymous

I got these cymbals from a music store this december, and they are an awesome deal for the price. They are made by Zildjian, and Zildjian never makes anything bad. All of these cymbals sound as good as any other cymbals for almost twice the amount. Other companies make packs for cheap, but sound horrible in comparision to these. The brass sounds better than some low-end bronze, and is very durable.

Well.......

By rockinout'

This cymbals are ok, but they scratch very easily and i don't even hit hard!! THey sound good and all but these are more of begginers cymbals. If you're a more experienced drummer save up for some nicer cymbals. Overal: Ok.

good cymbals

I have owned these cymbals for two years, and i beat the hell out of them and there is not a single dent or crack, or even a sign of any damage to these cymbals. if you pay more money you will get better cymbals, but for the price you cant beat these, they sound good, sustaint, and blend with many different types of music

Brother got them for christmas, they sound better than low-budget Sabians that cost more. The crash doesn't sustain very long, but it doesn't bother me. I'm going to buy ZBT's because the Planet Z's have started to bend (NOT CRACK).

Pretty Swell

By 2P._lKDWB

I actually bought the CrashRide (in one) Pack Cymbal, with the Hi-Hat. The Price is great and I love the sound (hole) textures in the CrashRide, the connect with my sticks very nicely. I also love the Hi-Hat, I have even been using it as my second Crash Cymbal in those songs that Require the two different sounding Cymbals. The only flaw with this pack is that the CrashRide Cymbal's sound dies out very quickly, if it just held it's a little longer, then I would love it.

OK ive played these cymbals a lot at multiple friends houses. They are not worth the money. These cymbals ring too much, and are very poor quality. I would suggest saving up a little bit more and buying Sabian B8's. They are inexpensive, and sound great too.

Planet z's

By paiste222

These Cymbals are awful, the crash had a crack running to the bell within a month. And I don't even hit them that hard. The ride is descent for what you pay for. But the HI Hats oh the Hi Hats sound like trash can lid. Terrible!

Good for starters

I got this pack when i was new a few months back to replace the crap cymbals that came with my kit. When I first heard em I was a little dissapointed, but then they broke in and sounded good. However, after playing and progressing as a musician, I know that these arent good enough to continue beyond hobyist level. The ride is a little to washy, and it builds up the more you play it. I had to put tape on it to get a good sound. The hi hats are fine, though they sound a little tinny at times. The crash I am happy with, sounds good, has a dark sound. Great for starters, but anyone much beyond that will be a little dissapointed.

great cymbals

By uhhh okay

from York , PA

these cymbals are great for anyone upgrading from the crappy pie pan tin foil ones that come with a kiti have been playing for 1 year now and ive used these for 3/4's of the time ive been playing the hi hats have a great sound when u open and close them during beats, the ride is nice but it builds up way to fast , but a little tape will fix that, the crash in my opinion *sucked* why i say this is cuz it broke in 2 days and i am not a hard hitter , i dont know maybe it was defective i replaced the crash with a crash ride on the planet Z line which i recomend over the crash all in all there wonderful for anyone upgrading there crappy old ones or anyone whose on a tight budget cuz no matter your skill level they still sound awesome

A nice Set of Cymbals

By Rudigur Sanchez

from OH

See all my reviews

These were my first set of cymbals a while back and I have to say that they are pretty good cymbals. The hi-hats really impressed me because they had a nice chick when closed and sounded amazing when opened. The crash had a nice sound to it also. The ride sounded like my A custom ride which i have now. These are a pretty good set of cymbals.

These are great cymbals epically for the price. The crash has an awesome sound and carries well. The ride is great for songs like welcome to paradise (by green day). The hi-hat has great sounds as well. These are great and affordable cymbals.

These cymbals are pretty ok but I wouldn't reccomend them for hard players. I bought these cymbals and in a couple of months they cracked. I really don't think these are horrible cymbals, I just think you should spend your money on something else. If you are a beginner I think you should buy these first though.
