These brushes fell apart literally the second time I used them. I was completely appalled. I had my previous pair of brushes for years, during 2 years of which I was playing a 2 hour gig every week on them. I can't imagine every pair this bad because the product wouldn't last long in the market. I can say that customer service at musician's friend was very helpful in rectifying the situation.

These are great...until they break. The rod you use for retracting the brushes broke off. Then on one brush all the bristles fell out. If I ever need brushes again i will NOT get these. Don't waste your money.

I purchased these also but the brushes didn't fall out. Instead, the the back end where you pull the brushes back into the handle broke off. Now I have to hold them together to get them to retract. Don't buy.

I was playing my drums tonight, recording some mellow stuff with a few mics.. one of my brushes completely fell apart. As in, I hit the crash lightly, and the wires just exploded all over the place. It was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. They just fell right out of the brush handle. I've never seen this happen before in all the years I've been playing with brushes (mellow slowcore music, NEVER hitting hard). I bought these a few months back. Absolutely strange.I'm never buying Zildjian sticks or brushes again. I bought two pairs of Vic Firth brushes tonight from a local chain store... the Steve Gadds and the white standard jazz brushes. I'm Vic Firth for life.I am just baffled, still... writing this review hours later. Stay far away from these brushes. You've been warned.

I really do like these brushes, but mine fell apart on me very quickly. The brushes soon came loose. I don't know if they are supposed to do that eventually, but I wasn't too happy when they did. That would be my only complaint.

These DO sound awsome on ride cymbals (and crash/ride). I only had these for 3 days and I've fallen in love with them. Basically, it's a good deal considering its retractability and quality. Drums + Zildjian wire brushes = cool.

This is a great product. It does exactly what you need them to do. They sound SWEET on ride cymbals too. They're also built really nicely and the retractable wires makes it easier to carry around. They the top brand in cymbals, and in my opinion, this means they should know the most about brushes.

I am very pleased with my purchase of these brushes. The rubber gives me a very good grip, and the fact that they're retractable makes it good for travel. The only flaw that I found was that the brush wires blackened up my snare and my ride cymbal quite a bit, especially the first time that I used them. However, apart from having to clean your snare every once in a while, the Zildjian brushes are a great buy.

These are pretty good. when I to use these on a drum set once, they sound good. though they quickly got all torn and what not. Like the brushes got all bent, but I guess thats from high school. But I like them, so its your call.
