Love the balance and the weight of the stick. I used to use peter erskines, but now, going back, erskines' feel little kids toys.
The balance is fabulous even though they are tree trunks, so doing rudimental type stuff is still quite easy.
My only beef is that the tips seem to chip quite quickly. I end up tossing them once the tip is flat since they don't have the right rebound anymore.

Just like the player whose name is screened onto them, these sticks are perfect from everything from kicking a big band, holding it down with a quartet, slammin' out the funk, or giving a Rammstein-style pounding. As long as there are in production, I need no other. The balance is awesome, there's enough substance to hold onto with a relaxed grip, and the beads pull awesome tones out of the instrument.

I have used Steve Gadd sticks, and I stuck aroundwith those for a while, when I realized that they were a little too light for me. I fished through some Zildjian sticks I had and I realized that I own these! They aren't too heavy, but they aren't so light you get no response out of them. They sound great and have a natural fee. I highly recommend these.

The past few years I've bounced back and forth between Steve Gadd's, Regal Tip 8A, and Vinnie's. I've finally went Vinnie's because I'm in my 40's and the wear and tear of life has lead me to use a thicker stick for my left hand to play traditonal grip. I love the beefier neck for crashing and hi-hat. Also, there is something to the shorter stick length helping with control of the stick. I highly recommend this stick.

Nice overall balance. Light enough that you can play softly at speed and your fingers won't get tired prematurely and heavy enough to play some straight ahead crash-bash-smash heavy rock without overexerting yourself. Best sticks EVAR! Only wish they were a little cheaper since they don't last that long when your playing the edges of the hats for extended periods. Not Zildjian's fault though.

A tiny bit shorter than a 5B and the tip is shaped such that it won't chip easily.

These are the 4 things I look for in a stick and these sticks are no exception. I put these into my hands and I absolutely loved their feel. Good for any style of play, even light jazz. The name wears off, but it's all good. These sticks go for a long time, it took me 4 months of intense playing to chip part of the tip off. And it's still going anyway! These are some sticks no drummer should be without.

I play fusion jazz and alternative rock in teh same day, and I never have to change my sticks. There light enough for jazz, but have enough respose and weight for rock. There also extremely durable, i just chipped mine after playing for 6 months with them, pretty good for 8 bucks!

I've played the vic firth 5A's 7A's, Gadd sticks, Weckl sticks, Erskine sticks and the Zildjian Chambers sticks, but i think this pair is my favourite. It's thick but its really light. Great bounce, great feel, great everything.
