I recieved this cymbal package for Christmas a year and a half ago and these cymbals are still in excellent shape! First of all, these cymbals are loud....plain and simple..they were designed mainly for rock and distortion..but they are excellent for blues, funk, and many others...they even perform well in ambience....the only thing I noticed is that the splash isn't quite as "splashy" as I'd prefer. But you cant expect a good "splash" out of a 12 incher...just doesn't happen....but it works excellent for accenting fills and dynamics. The fast crash in this set is amazing!! The tone is simply unmatched in the zildjian series..but be careful and dont ride it very much because this is a fast crash!! It wasn't meant to be beaten like crazy...too thin and tone isn't as powerful....but! You definately should ride the 16 incher...but with moderate poundage...this cymbal is simply unmatched when it comes to cutting through the music with power, because it does just that. Dont worry about cracking it because you'd have to bust out some arnold crap for it to crack even a little. Overall this package is all about the dynamic drummer...if you play styles of music where volume is increased/decreased frequently, this is the BEST package....first, you have the 12" splash. Excellent for accents and tasty fills during a verse, then you have the fast crash, this beat is for building up to the verse,or just plain accenting during the chorus, then you have the 16"....this beast is insane, used once everything has kicked in and it's just plain rock carnage on stage....so finally I'd have to say this package is definately worth every penny.

Well, I don't personally own any myself, but I was playing a show last week and The drumset I was using had 4 of these (12" splash 16,18,19 crash). I had never played any and i was thrilled to death to play them. I wasn't that impressed. The have a lot of ring and just sound like metal. I'll stick to my A customs and A's please.

The cymbals are great for real hard stuff. the kinda loud and too ringy for anything real quite or soft. And you kinda have to "work them in" to get a good sound out of them, and when you do they sound awsome. I would recomend these for anyone.
These cymbals are the best any harder music genre musician could ask for... If you have trouble finding cymbals that withstand a beating these are for you.. I might suggest going with the rock z customs if you are a really hard player but I have both and they hold up very well... This is the best deal you can get with quality!
and very nice cymbals, but if you're gonna be playing in a room smaller than 50 foot by 50 foot, you're gonna get annoyed having to wear headphones and your girlfriend is gonna get annoyed thinking that you're ignoring her if you loose your hearing, because you will loose your hearing if you play these in a small room without some type of ear protection, especially if you play as loud and heavy as I do. The 18" is pretty dark and deep and doesn't really sound too good when I play Worship/Indie.
I've had these cymbals for a few years now and they are durable, brilliant, and nice. I have played most Zildjian products and these are among my favorites for a drumkit. I added a regular 16" A Zildjian cymbal to the mix and I would not change a thing! You can tell if you look closely at the cymbals that they have micro grooves that embellish the sound and make them vibrate in a more musical manner! They sound great when recorded or when played live!
these are great cymbals at such a great price. They sound great and are very durable. I reccomend these to anybody who wants a great cymbal at a very reasonable package price.
I recently bought a Zildjian 19 inch Z-custom, it was a little expensive but well worth the money. It has a loud crisp sound, and stands up against heavy music, i plan to add more Z-customs to replace me A-customs soon.
If your looking for a great quility cymbal for the right anout of money the zildjian z are your best deal because they durable and have a great sound. Beleive me, after four years of using them, I dont think I could go to another brand or series of cymbals. But it all has to do with what kind of music you are playing. It's all about what you prefer however.
Really good for the price you pay. Pretty much you pay for the crashes and get the splash free. Theses cybals sound great. I have A's and they still blend well with them. There perfect for rock because they just cut through really loud and powerful and suprisingly though very loud they aren't harsh. There just awesome. The splash is good too because I have a paiste splash and it sounds all washy but the Z's are very focused. BUY THEM!!! Check out www.kevincamacho.textamerica.com
Great cymbals, there great looking and they sound nice, plus the stands that come with them are great and very heavy duty, they don't fall over and these cymbals just sound great. I love them and there fairly cheap, and the china cymbal is free and good!
these are ok cymbals for metal/ hard rock, i personally dont like the sound they make, the overtones are crazy, and they ring forever. i think they are a little over priced. but they are very durable and can take alot without denting or cracking. i have had mine for a pretty long time now and they sound just like when they where new. if your looking for a cymbal for hard rock/ metal pay a little more money and go with paiste rudes.
