I have owned these hi-hats for a year and a half and they still do the trick. nice crisp sound and a penetrating sound when you accent them. Make sure that you have a good strong stand with them becasue they are heavy
I have had my 14in. Z Custom hi hats for about three years and they look and sound like they did the day i got them. I joined my band about ten months ago and we do nothing but practice for hours. I need hi hats that can handle my aggression and that can overcome the volume of two marshalls, an swr bass cab, and a PA. These hats rock!!!!
I've used this for about seven or eight months now, and to me it is the most metallic sounding crispy cymbal sound that there can be. And it has a nice and heavy sound to it to because it is. Excellent piece of equipment to have!
I bought the 14' a year ago, they are just awesome, the sound is perfectly trashy, a few weeks ago a got a 13' Zildjian K hybrid, and for metal, it wouldn't do the job as the Z custom does. It is simply perfect. If you play Trash Metal, Hard Rock or any Heavy style, this are perfect.
if you are an experienced drummer looking to take the next step forward and want that extra good sound, then you need to get these cymbals. these are the absolute best
these hats are the best for a drummer who needs a multi-applicational setting. if its open, you can get a more hard metal grunge sound, once closed you can get articulate and pronounced with the advantage of the loud level of volume. and open on wash you can get the sound you need, although loud but beat-keeping. i suggest anyone wishing to have a loud, agressive hat that has too many features to count. it's a good intermediate hat to buy so the drummer can decide what kind of sound they want and what fits their style and reflects their own personality the best.
I've owned these for about 5 years now and they've stood up to all the beating that I can give them! They've been dropped out of trucks, rolled around club floors, and they've remained top notch!
Even though I don't personally own a pair of these hats, I can honestly say they are very unique and have a great sound. They are a little lower pitched, but have a very trashy sound when played open. And in this case, trashy is good. I've never heard a pair of hats with more response than these.
I've owned these for about 4 1/2 years or so. I'm more of a technical drummer so I don't lay into these too hard, nevertheless they've stood up through many shows and recording sessions as well as in my home. These hats have excellent volume, a nice "chick" when closed, and a pretty short wash decay when half-open. A little too loud for some genres, but excellent response.
It's a great cymbal for rock music, I have owned it for 3-4 months and am very pleased with it.
I bought these hi hats a week ago and from the moment I took them out of the box and played them I have been blow away by them.. This is my first pair of zildjians and now i am going back through my kit and getting rid of all my sabians and getting zildjian instead. the click on these cymbals is very bright and defined and the wash is stunning.. BUY THESE CYMBALS!!!!
Very very nice, recommended to anyone.
Unlike the ride, the regular Z Custom hats are great. They are very versitile (though they may cut through a little too much for some styles of music). Overall a great product, they are pretty heavy feeling and great if you don't like hats that feel too flimsy.
these hi hats sound great. best hi hats i have ever had.
This Zildjian product is ideal for a drummer who needs loud and aggressive hi hats. Personally, i have a pair myself and nothing else meets the needs that these hats have. Closed, open, or loose, they still perform the way i want them to! They are so AWESOME!!!!!!
These Hi-Hats are great. I like the 'wash' of the Dyno-Beats, and I love the 'chick' of the Mastersound, but these Hi-Hats find a happy medium between the two. I've owned them for almost a year and a 1/2, and I havent cracked them yet. As with all Z Customs, they are not designed for soft music. But for those of us that enjoy hitting heavy, these hats seem to be tailor made to our style. They sound great live, and in the studio. Buy them. ROCK ON !!!
These high-hats are great. They are loud though, but that's good for the style I play. They're great, but not for everyone. They are very durable too, which is a definite plus. They have a great "wash" sound to them and a good "chick" sound to them. If that's the sound you're going for then these are definitely worth a try.
I've owned these high hats for over 1 year now and they still don't have a single dent/scratch in them. They've been poorly treated by band memebers and still show no wear at all. Very durable and perfect for harder music, yet they sound crisp enough to play quieter and slower styles. If you hit hard, you'll love these.
These are great Hi-hats for punk and or rock and Metal music. They sound crisp and yet driving and hard. Nice Hi-Hats. Buy them if you play hard music!!
These hats are so freakin loud its amazing. They are so versatile that you can get more sounds out of them than many other zildjian hats. The thirteens are nice and bright and cut through really well. Great versatile metal hats. NOTE*** these are not good cymbals for recording. Theyre too loud! I LOVE THESE!!!
