These cymbals are pretty good. I've had them about 2 years now and they havent cracke or anything and I play REALLY HARD. The sound is good expecially for begginers but the sound might kindove fade after awhile but I'm not to sure because my drums were in a fire back in january of 07' but they still sound alright. One of the only problems I have is if you play like in a church or something they sound kind of crappy but in a basement, small room or outside they sound awesome anyplace that echos alright they sound good I recommend them mainly for beginners oh and another thing they still havent dented my 16 inch did but that was only because it fell over at a show but ya get them because there cheap and when you first get them they sound great.

but there are alot better cymbals to start out with, i def suggest going to Guitar Center or a music store near you to try out cymbals, then order your fave from here.i've played some regular ZBT hats that sounded like crap, but My ZBT rock hats are Amazing, way better than most new hats, but mine are nice and worn in(like 2 years), so they sound alot better than these brand new. The ride was okay but extremely ringy and not very crash-able, but i replaced it with a nice K Custom Dry Ride, which btw is an amazing and beautiful ride, but is wayyy too deep and dark to crash, lol.both of the ZBT Crashes sounded good, but cracked in half within 3 months, good news is the 16" crash makes a great china when its cracked, lol.but i prefer Wuhan Chinas, cause they're beautiful, fast, dark, high pitched, and dirt cheap.

ZBT Rock

By chenzo798

I got this ZBT Rock pack about 4 months ago and they are pretty good! I have them with my Ddrum Diablo kit so they make the whole kit sounds pretty rocky, I do play in a smaller room so they are a bit loud, but they have gotten better as time goes on. Very good for outdoor use or a show, for they are very loud, especially the 18 in crash. Overall it is a good buy, I even bought with 10 in ZBT splash later one, which is also a good buy, it is a good starter/intermediate pack!

Simply not that good.

These cymbals are meant for complete newbs and rookies. The only good cymbals in the entire pack are the crashes. The ride is too ringy and the hi hats are just awful when you hit them open. If youre are starting out dont even think about it and get yourself paiste 101's or pst 5's. No doubt those are better start out cymbals. The crashes are good but evetything else is just awful from ZBT. This is a dissapointment to all Zildjians.

Good for beginners

By crazydrummer2711

I got these cymbals about 2 years ago and they were awesome at first, considering I upgraded from a crappy Meinl pack. I had some good compliments on how these cymbals sounded and I thought they were great too. I'd say about 2 weeks ago, both my 16" and my 18" crash cracked. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed in the quality of this Zildjian product. Now I have to go and spend money elsewhere to get a better pack of cymbals. If I were you, I'd go with some Paiste cymbals. The Hi-Hats and Ride are still pretty good but I'd say that these cymbals are great for beginners. Only buy these if you plan on upgrading with a couple of years.

Trash Can Lids

By bskd04

If your a beginner fine. Buy these to prctice with. Otherwise they sound like trash can lids compared to more quality cymbols.

above average

I thought these cymbols were okay, the 18 crash cymbol is great but the ride symbol is really ringy and loud and not crashable. The high hat was okay it didnt have enough sound to it.

Wouldn't suggest buying if you're experienced

By Tnicks12

from Undisclosed

I've been using these cymbals since I started drumming and i thought they were great at first. After a few years of experience and hearing other cymbals i wouldn't suggest them for a drummer with experience, but they are a great set of cymbals for a beginner.

alright for starting out

I won these cymbals at a drum off and I was excited to get them...that is until my stick came in contact with them. Its an alright starter set, but you could get better for the money. These cymbals are very dull but if you're just starting out they are ok.

donated to us

By jay_da_drummer

from deployed to Iraq

I play these cymbals in the chapel that is in Iraq that I attend and play in. For the type of music that we play (Gospel)they are a bit to loud and ringy. They aren't warm enough. These cymbals were donated to us. I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

these cymbals are ok if you just need cymbals to learn how to play. but otherwise, they are horible. the ride has way too much overring and the hihats sound like nohing than peices of sheet metal. i would not recomend these cymbals to anyone.
