OVERVIEW

A dramatic-sounding cymbal you'll never tire of using. A great all-purpose ride!

The sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of the Zildjian ZBT China Cymbals magnify the percussion sounds of the distinctive ZBT alloy. The ZBT China is fast, bright, and trashy”ideal for special accents and musical exclamation points. Bold and colorful with an explosive attack, fast decay, and plenty of volume to cut through the music, the Zildjian China cymbal is a superb all-purpose ride cymbal.

The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the ZBT series cymbals cuts through the mix of other instruments. Sheet origin and precision lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly with a rapid decay. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent. The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh. Excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones. ZBT-Plus cymbals take Zildjian Bronze Technology up a notch with advanced hammering and lathing, and enhanced sound for versatility, musicality, and professional performance.

Tired of your ride? Dissatisfied with your crash? You need a China cymbal, my man. Order this one and try it out in your array for cheap.

After reading all of the reviews, I'm astounded at all the negative feedback. When I first got this cymbal, I wasn't very fond of it, but after it broke in, the sound grew on me. I didn't like it much for breakdowns, but the rest of my band adores the sound. I use it more for accents then anything. Its loud, and has a long ring to it, but if your not at the set, you can't hear the long ring. It's got a bright attack and is very loud, but I s'pose thats okay if you play your music loud, right? As for the resonance, it adds a nice, unique sound different from other china

ZBT cymbals hold up very nicley. I cant see how someone can brake one of these things. On the other hand, their sound is terrible. Trust me when I say this, get Paiste PST 5 or PST 3 cymbals. They have a wider veriety of sounds, are the same price if not less, and they sound AMAZING!! I asked some employees at Guitar Center about which entery and intermideate cymbals are better between Paiste and Zildjian. They said Paiste doesnt have entery level cymbals, they all sound amazing, even the cheaper ones. STAY AWAY FROM ZBT ALL TOGETHER! GET PST 3 OR PST 5!!!!!!!!!!

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

I've never owned one of these, but I've both used and heard the 18" and 16" both live and in the studio, and heard other people using them. The 18" produces a sound I only describe as "KRANG", with an irritatingly long sustain (and I like a longer china sustain than most). It gets no better out front in a band, even in the full mix it doesn't lose any of the horrible overtones. The 16" on the other hand might just be the best value for money china around (considering Wuhans often break easily). It's a lot trashier and quicker than the 18", and really does sound fantastic in the full mix. It's still a bit more gong than trash, but that's to expected with a B8 cymbal. If money is tight for a china, the 16" is certainly a great option. If you have the money I'd go for something a bit more high end like an Avedis china high though, which have more trash and durability as well.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

I got this cymbal used, dents and all. Sounds trashy (like a china should) and has a nice decay. If you buy it new, break it in before you judge it. It's good for funk, rock, or anything you play loud. Beware though, it'll eat up your sticks if you're a hard hitter.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

Wow! this china has a great sound to it, the china has a long decay just the way i like it. The china cuts through the music like a hot knife through butter. I have the 18 inch so yeah its pretty loud. I am planning of getting another one but this time a 16 inch.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

in my opinion, i think this is a pretty good cymbal for the price here. i got it used for $** at a local music store, and so far its been holding up nicely. it is, however, very loud and i always use noise reducing headphones whenever i play, so it kind of evens out. it is a pretty good cymbal for the buy- i would get it.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

I play drums in my metal band Decollate, and our bass player owns this china, and I use it on my kit. This isnt a bad china. I think it kind of sounds like a MIDI china though! Haha. but its good for fills and stuff. Its not the best for riding on. But overall its not a bad china. I prefer the Wuhan or Han Chi chinas better....they are more trashy and cheaper. but this one isnt that bad

    This china sucks

    By DrumsForLife123765

    from Detroit, MI

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

I bought this china because I wanted to have 2 china cymbols it was the worst money I've ever spent for my drums. When ever you're jamming with your band or other people and you hit it, it ruins the sound of the song. It has a horrible sound and it's way to loud. For people that are considering buying this cymbal, don't.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

This china sucks. It is so bad, I don't even give it the "good for beginners". The sound is way too trashy, which is hard to believe for a Zildjian. It is too loud, has an ugly overtone, and is just flat out annoying.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

This china really is amazing. Some people complain about how responsive and trashy it is, but that's exactly what I look for in a china. It cuts through everything, and it doesn't take a falcon punch to get it to explode. Makes for a really good breakdown.

this china has a good sound and it last for a while if used upside down (like most chinas). It dings but not too much. mine cracked after about a year of playing heavy on it. it's good for the money.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

I recieved the the 18" ZBT china as a free gift with the ZBT cymbal pack. The china sounds terrible. It has a horrible intial trashy projection, but the overtones is what makes this this cymbal a peice. The overtones last for literrally 2 minutes of high pitched ringing sounds and the cymbal cant blend with any other cymbal. Save some cash and buy a better china.

    Well...

Comments about Zildjian ZBT China Cymbal:

I got this 18" cymbal with a zbt cymbal pack 2 years ago. I was surprised at first at how loud it was. the main reason that i had got these cymbals was to be able to play them in church and it was way too loud to do that. so for about a year and a quarter i just didn't take it with me to any gigs. then about half a year ago me and a friend were experimenting and we realized that if we put my splash right on top of the china (so that it was resting on the top of it) that it not only solved my volume issue but it also made the china way more trashy. now i love it! I take it with me all the time to all kinds of gigs. how ever i doesn't respond much at all if i just tap it so ive been thinking about switching to a wuhon. basically if u want a good zildjian china that u can experiment with and not feel bad if u break it, then this cymbal just might be for u.
