These are a very very good pack to start off with. I added them to my pearl export set and they sounded great. You cant beat these for a beginning starter cymbal. But after about a year or so of playing on them you will want to upgrade. They are good for starting with but I cant see playing with them for good. If you have the money go ahead and get an A or Z custom, if not, and you just want to jump in and get started, then go ahead and buy these. You wont be disappointed.

I got this pack September of 2005. The hats are good, they have a crisp sound (if hit with a stick), and the ride is also good, it has a good ping (if you use nylon tips otherwise it sounds really dull). The bell is quiet and washy. Hats & ride sound pretty good on recordings and playing w/other intruments. 16" crash is high pitched & kind of thin. Bends easy (I hit hard). 18" is lower pitched. Crashes aren't fast. They have a long decay and sound trashy if hit at the same time. If your into hard rock or want loud, bright sounding crashes, save up for z custom mediums (they won't bend).

AWESOME

These cymbals are great for a drummer on a budget. The cymbals dont have a fast decay, perfect for rock drumming. so far they have very litlle marks on them and I play three times a day. If you need quality cymbals for a cheap price, these are for you.

Good Cymbals

By trojan-dt7SR

Overall good cymbals, but they will catch you off guard if your used to regular zbt's or other zildjians because they have a unique sound. I cracked my 16" crash in 4 months but I'm a heavy hitter and I play with graphite sticks so that may have something to do with it, well they're decent cymbals and I recommend them.

Good For A Beginner

I purhased this cymbal pack back in 2005-needing some low priced practice cymbals. Well, they work well for just that-practice-but they (in my opinion)do not sound good enough for gigs or recording. I did, however, use the 14'' hi-hat cymbals quite extensively. They are pretty decent.Overall,a pretty good deal for a beginner-especially if you get the free cymbal bag.

Good Beginner Set

By Anonymous

I got these cymbals as a christmas present last year, and for the money they were worth it. The only problem I had was that the 16" crash cymbal cracked after about 3-1/2 months, but I think that was mostly me being too abusive. I like the hi-hats, the crash ride is ok, I would recomend for a beginer, but I would say if you need cymbals now use these, otherwise save more money and buy casted cymbals, they sound better, and last longer

A beginner set, but good value

By Good throne for the price

Cymbals are expensive. Why aren't these? Because they're for the beginner/budget-minded drummer. I bought these with my first set and now that I have been playing for a while I'm ready to replace them. I have no doubt they sound better than cymbals that might come with a new drumset. If you decide to purchase these, just keep in mind that you'll probably replace them later.

Good for starters

These cymbals had very good sound quality when I got them. I use them at my church and they tend to be very good at any kind song I play. I would recommed it to anybody who is beginner or intermediate.

great value buy

the best sounding cymbals I've played on for their price. I've cracked both crashes (mine came with an 18" and 16") after a year and a half of abuse. but I play fairly hard. they're cheap, they sound great, and they'll get the job done.
