OVERVIEW

ZBT Cymbals have sound that cuts through the mix like a Samurai.

The Zildjian ZBT Rock Power cymbal package features a 16" ZBT Rock Crash, 20" ZBT Rock Ride, 16" China cymbal, 14" ZBT Rock Hi-Hats, and a free 18" crash. The heavier weights of ZBT Rock cymbals work well for rock settings where the cymbals really need to cut through the music. They deliver stronger clarity and projection.

The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the ZBT series cymbals cuts through the mix of other instruments. Sheet origin and precision lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly with a rapid decay. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent. The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh. Excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones.

The 16" ZBT and free 18" ZBT Rock Crashes have loud, bold cut with moderately long decays. The 20" ZBT Rock Ride has a medium high-pitched tone and projects precise, clean stick definition. The 14" hi-hats have a sharp and focused sound with an excellent, bright "chick" sound. The 16" China cymbal has sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of the cymbal to magnify the percussive sounds of the distinctive ZBT alloy. The ZBT China cymbal is fast, bright, and trashy—ideal for special accents and musical exclamation points. Bold and colorful with an explosive attack, fast decay, and plenty of volume to cut through the music.

Ok, i bought these cymbals quite a while ago, because i needed some cheap cymbals that sounded better than the crappy stock ones. the ride cymbal rings WAY too long, but that's really my only complaint. The crashes sound pretty nice, and the china is great. The hats have kind of a high pitched *ding* that i'm not very fond of, but it's nothing big. So, if you are a begginner, and dont want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on cymbals, buy these. ive had mine for a while and they aren't damaged at all, and theyre great for the price.

Okay. Here goes my review. If and only if you're just getting your first drum kit are these cymbals a good deal. I mean, nothing beats getting five cymbals for the price of one high end cymbal right? Only if you have no idea what a good cymbal sounds like. That's good for a beginner. Someone just learning drums isn't gonna be using quality recording equipment or playing any gigs. But if you've been playing drums for over a year, DONT BUY THESE. I'm sending mine back to save up for some Zildjian A Customs, and here's why:1. High-hats are too "chinky." No good washy sound to be found.2. Crash cymbals have to be hit hard to actually have a good crash, and are way too thick. Also bad overtones.3. Ride has virtually no bell, and does ring just a little too long. The ride isn't too bad.4. The china was the best cymbal with this pack. A little too high-cutting, but actually a good cymbal in my opinion. So there you have it. Please, please, please save for better cymbals if you're actually a slightly experienced drummer. Else you'll probably be paying to ship them back like I am.

ZBT Cymbals

By Logan

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Power Set with Free 18in Rock Crash:

I got these cymbals for Christmas. And the first thing i noticed was there there really heavy. I put them on, and they ring forever. They need to be broken in. Another thing, The bell on the ride, sounds terrible.

The beginning drummer's best friend.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Power Set with Free 18in Rock Crash:

If you're a beginning drummer and don't want to spend an arm and a leg for cymbals, these are perfect learning tools. You can learn your chops while still using cymbals that, for the value, are not bad at all. They will crack with time, albeit faster than others but unless your technique is totally terrible, they should make you through your first year or so. Get these if you're new and need a full set of cymbals, that's what they're made for.

Good for the begining drummer.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Power Set with Free 18in Rock Crash:

I'm just a 17 year old but I have been playing for most of my life. The Ziljian ZBTs are what I learned and got good on. I really like the sound of the hi-hats for how cheap they are. But after a while these cymbals won't cut it. They will crack with time. So for all begining drummers I advise you to go buy a pack of ZBTs and beat the crap out of them until you are good enough to go buy some Ziljian As. They are a good value for anyone wanting to play.

Stay away from ZBT

By helloiplaythedrums

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Power Set with Free 18in Rock Crash:

PLEASE FOR the love of god and for what little good there is in the world, never get ZBTs!!!! Here is why!The Crashes: Sounds like a toy. Good quality but sounds like trash. The Splashes: Break and bend very easily, but sounds pretty good...at first. Eventually, this cymbal wit warp dramaticly and sound sort of like an oriental trash splash. The Rides: Ring too much and sound terrible. The Chinas: Sounds like a plumber just dropped his toolbox. Absoluetly terrible. The Hats: Sound decent when closed or halfway, terrible when open.Just please, check out Paiste's PST 3 and PST 5 cymbals. Same price but sound that WONT make you bleed from your ears.

Decent buy

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Power Set with Free 18in Rock Crash:

I will say these aren't the best out there but for the price, well, its about the best deal. I play metal and I absolutely love pounding my crashes and hats, after 5 months, still no dents or cracks. I prefer higher end but I needed a good beater set and these surely get the job done. I don't like the hats closed but you can get a really good sound if you play with em. China is REALLY loud, too loud, but I just don't bash it and it flows.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Power Set with Free 18in Rock Crash:

Horrible cymbals. That is all I can say. These sounded awful, especially the hi-hats. Do yourself a favor and save up for a better set. I bought these and sent them back the day they arrived.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Rock Power Set with Free 18in Rock Crash:

I would recommend these cymbals to any new drummer. I have had them for about 2 years now with zero problems. My favorite of the bunch is easily the 16" crash then the 18" china. I have played numerous shows with these cymbals, I play aggressively and still no cracks. Couldn't be more pleased.
