Zildjian

Dramatic-sounding accents.

This special ZBT Splash/China 2-Pack from Zildjian features a 10" ZBT Splash and 16" ZBT China Cymbal. The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the ZBT series cymbals cuts through the mix of other instruments. Sheet origin and precision lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly with a rapid decay. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent. The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh. Excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones. ZBT-Plus cymbals take Zildjian Bronze Technology up a notch with advanced hammering and lathing, and enhanced sound for versatility, musicality, and professional performance.

10" ZBT Splash Cymbal
The Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal is bright, fast, and cutting. Sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of ZBT cymbals magnify the basic sound of the distinctive ZBT alloy.

16" ZBT China Cymbal
The sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of the Zildjian ZBT China Cymbals magnify the percussion sounds of the distinctive ZBT alloy. The ZBT China is fast, bright, and trashy—deal for special accents and musical exclamation points. Bold and colorful with an explosive attack, fast decay, and plenty of volume to cut through the music, the Zildjian China cymbal is a superb all-purpose ride cymbal.

Pretty sweet deal...

Features:

The china is a little too gongish sounding, and a tad less trashy than what I would like. In pitch, it sounds closer to something like a 14 inch A series china. The splash sounds very nice, and it sounds more like an 8 inch. But these cymbals still don't sound bad by any stretch of the imagination.

Quality:

These are obviously the cheapest sheet metal cymbals that you can buy; with that in mind, they dent up fairly easily if you hit them really hard. And with time, like all cymbals, they will eventually crack. But if you don't abuse them, they will last for quite a long time.

Value:

These are such a great deal for the money that you are paying. They sound nice, look good, and get the job done.

Overall:

I got these for my birthday, and all that I asked for was the china. That said, I was actually more impressed with the splash. My old splash was a vintage... something, the stamped logo is mostly worn away. It sounded like a mini chinese. The zbt splash sounds really good. The china isn't bad. It isn't very quick or trashy, but it still cuts like a china is meant to do. Man, it is loud. You can't ride it very easily, though. Overall, this pack is excellent for the price.

They are a Zildjian!

Value:

Very well priced for the two GREAT cymbals.

Overall:

When I purchased the cymbals I knew they had the Zildjian name on the, but I was expecting junky cheap cymbals, seeing as what the price is. When I opened the them the first thing I noticed was the beautiful finish, they were amazingly shiny. I put them on the cymbal stands and had a quick jam; They were way better then I expected. I was shocked by the quality of sound, and even though the China cymbal rings a little longer than I would like.  They are an amazing pair of cymbals, and you can't beat the GREAT price.

I've been drumming for about 2 years and this pack was the first add on to my set.  I was impressed with the China but not so much the splash.  The splash will ding up so easily probably because I am  a hard hitter and now its not even a part of my set.  China-Ok, Splash-Not Ok

Got these cymbals for my first add-on to my Ludwig Accent drum set, and I have to say the china was too loud and rang too long at first. Then, after a lot of touching and getting fingerprints on the cymbal, it produced more of a darker sound and it died down a LOT faster. It fits in with heavier music beats a lot easier now. The splash is just amazing, especially with my 14" ZBT crash. It is a bit thin, so you gotta remember not to pound it in. Overall I'd say its a great purchase when you want to add cymbals to a set.

I got this set as a last min. purchace before my band went on tour. Splash is awesome I really like it. But the china is very hi pitched and loud..not good for 95% of musical applications. I am now saving for an 18" Oriental china...I liked that one WAY more.
