If you havent ever bought a splash, for the price, I definitely suggest getting this. It will give you a nice happy medium of what you would expect out of a small splash. Although For more experienced drummers may not agree this is very good sound quality it is great for armature to advanced musicians only because its not as bright as one may expect.
Not the greatest on a professional Drumming level but great for garage band with local shows. Has a quick splash response. At first I didnt like the tone of the splash but after breaking it in a bit when I used to play Metal, It has a much better sound/tone. Not the brightest response but not dull either, right in the middle.
I have literally beat the crap out of this thing and with some small dents it has held up amazingly!!! I feel the wear on it gives it more character as well.
While some other series and brands of splash have some better tones (more brighter response) for the price you cant beat this cymbal as a first splash anyway. I bought this a few years ago and it still holds up to my hard hits and my band mates love the sound as well.

First off if your buying a ZBT cymbal its for the price, I bought the cymbal because i wanted a cheap splash that would sound semi decent. I wasn't expecting anything amazing, just an okay cymbal. This cymbal fit my expectation. It is good for the price, however it does bend very easily and dent. Overall it sounds fine, so if you want a good cymbal for less this is your choice.

Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
I love the sound of my 8" Splash. It sounds great with the rest of the ZBT series cymbals I use. However, it breaks fairly quickly for me...maybe a 3 or 4 months if I play the set every day in addition to 2 or 3 shows. Perhaps I'm just a hard hitter.
Either way, it is one of the best prices out there for splash cymbals so I recommend this cymbal if you're on a low budget and still want some good diversity in cymbal sounds!
Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
For a ZBT this splash cymbal sounds very nice, i have a 10'' and haven't broken it in the nearly 3 years i've had it. Good quality. Recommended to anyone on a budget looking for a brand name splash cymbal. I love it but sadly cannot use it because i have 2 more cymbals than stands.
Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
Perhaps the 8" or 10" would have been a better choice. The 12" sounds closer to a tinny crash cymbal than anything like a splash cymbal. Overall I'm pretty disappointed with it, but at the same time for the price it can add some variety to your sound.
Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
A lot of people are saying this cymbal will dent or break if you're a heavy hitter. I play in a death metal band and use this cymbal pretty frequently, and hit pretty hard. Although I haven't been in a band the whole time I've had it, I've had this cymbal for over a YEAR and it still sounds great and there's like no noticeable dents. Being a heavy hitter doesn't have everything to do with it, it's how your technique is. this cymbal can last a long time if you know how to hit it. The sound is pretty good, and for the price it can't be beat. If you know how to take care of your cymbals, then I highly recommend this splash. Even if you're a hard hitter like me.
Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
Hey guys. I bought this cymbal and it si AWESOME! It cuts through anything like a hot knife through butter. It has a very fast attack and is the definition of fast splashes. Other than sound and shine, I dont care too much about my cymbals. But if you play punk or metal and hit your cymbals hard, it will dent within the first couple of swings. My girlfriend bought it for me on March 22 and now in april it has about 15 dents on the rim. It is not the quality I expected from Zildjian, but considering its thinness, itll have to do. If you dont mind denting, get this cymbal. If you do, think twice.
Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
This little guy brings out a good sound. I like it and I would buy it again without regrets. Sounds really well along with other zbt's as well. Price is good, sounds good, why not give it a try. You shouldn't bash the mess out of it, its not necessary anyway and i haven't had any bends or dents.
Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
I wanted a cheap splash cymbal to round out my ZBT set, so this one was the obvious choice. It is a decent little splash (especially after a bit of duct tape on the bottom). It blends well with my other ZBTs, in sound and in looks, and I would recommend it as a cheap add-on for your existing ZBT plates. It is pretty thin and seems like it could warp or bend easily, but common sense should tell you not to bash this little guy like you would a larger crash. Treat it right and it you won't be disappointed from this entry-level Zildjian bargain.
Comments about Zildjian ZBT Splash Cymbal:
This is a pretty good splash.(hence the title.) Iv had an 8 inch for about a year and its doin fine. It has a small dent on the edge, and it tarnishes way to easily. Nice sound overall, it rings a little much. Its good for a begginer or intermediate player, but it tarnishes too easily and it could be better. But i like it.
