      OVERVIEW

Ultra-modern cymbal crafting techniques have yielded a surprisingly affordable and high-quality medium-heavy ride.

This 22" medium heavy ride is the largest sheet cymbal available from Zildjian. The ZHT Ultimate sheet bronze cymbals are composed of 88% copper and 12% tin. Boasting a higher tin content than previous sheet bronze models, ZHTs are created with ultra-modern crafting techniques and extensive hammering, resulting in a more musical sound. ZHT is the only Zildjian sheet bronze series in a traditional finish.

The medium heavy weight of this ride allows for excellent articulation, wash, and ping as well as a strong overall presence. Its 22"-diameter provides plenty of projection.

Wow...just wow! All I can say is get this ride, the 22". It's the best of the ZHT's. In the series, I suggest the rides and the mastersound hats. An amazing price for such an amazing ride. The whole series is THE BEST you will find for this price, no cymbals by anyone at this price are better. The only con about the SERIES is that the crashes and china isn't great. But that's probably just me. I've never been a huge fan of Zildjian's crashes or chinas; I'm with Sabian on that page! Anyways, this is my favorite ride in the world. An old Sabian HH 22" Lepoard Ride barely matches. So much clarity and ping, almost no wash unless you make it wash!

Obviously I'm somehow out of sinc with those who have rated this 5-stars. It has one sound. It sounds like the bell no matter where you hit it. I'm guessing it weighs 8-10 pounds and is rigid as a piece of steel. A real one-horse pony. I used mine to experiment with by over-hammering it to make it somewhat usable just to play around with at home (and I put a K on it).

        A Great Rock Ride

This ride has a great ping attack, but it's response is louder than more expensive Zildjian cymbals. Best suited for rock drumming, it's too bright and responsive for jazz or acoustic settings. Very little stick effort needed to get volume. It's heavy, too...almost 10 lbs.

This ride cymbal from Zildjian has a wonderful tone and compliments my drum kit perfectly! It really does sound great for the price point and has a good wash and subtle sustain.

          Great Cymbal

          By

          from Undisclosed

This is a great cymbal. I play in a Hardcore band and use this as my main crash. I don't ride it at all but it has a very good ride as well. Nice big and heavy cymbal, lound and lots of sustain. which is what i was looking for in a cymbal. The bell is extremely good sounding. The only thing I have a problem with is when you crash it, it has a ringy sound and less of a wash sound. But it is very minor and it still sounds amazing. Very good buy if you're looking for a big cymbal with lots of sustain.

          Krull drummer

          By

          from Undisclosed

I have owned this ZHT for over a year. I have spent hundreds of dollars on other cymbals. This cymbal for the price is great . I play classic rock music in a bar band. I love the bell, and the entire sound of the cymbal. Would recommend this cymbal to any other drummer, and I have been playing drums since I was nine years old, I am fifty one now and have played plenty of rides before. This is my favorite.

          Great ride for any music!

          By

          from Murrieta, CA

This ride is very durable and very nice. I've had it for about 4 years, this cymbal still retains its good sound after years of playing. I've used other rides like meinl, paiste, and sabian, and this one has been my favorite so far. It's a great ride for it's price and it's worth evry penny.

          recent addition

          By

          from Panama City, Florida

I got this the other day at a local music store when they were having a sale. I love the sound of it, it's not too washy, yet it's not too pingy. It is great for metal or rock, or just about any music style in my opinion. The bell is a little picky though, you have to hit it just right at the base of it for it to really pierce. It's worth the money, although I wish it was cheaper. On a side note, I'd recommend you get a good cymbal bag if you don't already have one, because this cymbal is quite heavy.
