I bought the ZHT Rock set about six months ago. Out of the box they made my ears bleed. GIVE THEM TIME TO BREAK IN! After a few weeks these things started to sound amazing! I've recorded and gigged with these and they always stood up. About a couple weeks ago, my 18" Rock Crash started to crack near the edge. I cut the cracked area off the cymbal and all has been well. Tonight I was practicing and like a previous commenter said, it started to decay very fast. I looked at the cymbal and wouldn't you know, I have the SAME crack above the stamp as he stated! I liked these cymbals so much that I just came back to order another. But seeing that someone else had the same crack in the same spot... hmm... I don't know. All things considered, I use this as a crash/ride, and it stood up for about six months. ZHT's are great and you won't be disappointed, but beware, you may crack your 18"

I bought the 16" cymbal a while ago... when I first set it up and started playing it, IT SOUNDS LIKE A GONG. It's loud, it never stops ringing after you hit, and it sticks out like a sore thumb from the rest of cymbals. The only use I had of this cymbal was either using it as a China (which is also sounds like) or using it like a ride cymbal. I would suggest to not get this cymbal as a regular cymbal, only use it for rare occasions.

Comments about Zildjian ZHT Rock Crash:
i had this cymbal for about three months and loved it. unfortunately today i was playing and it didn't seem as loud. i checked it and it had a 2 inch crack where "turkish cymbal" is engraved into the cymbal. loved it while it lasted. now wish i had money to buy a new cymbal.
Comments about Zildjian ZHT Rock Crash:
ive had the 16" for about two months now and it sounds great. when you first get it it sounds terrible and annoys the crap outta you, but after a month of daily use it sounds great . highly recommended especially at this low price

The quality of these cymbals is great. I just got the 16 in. and I can't see how one of these would break. These cymbals have a lot of weight to them and they are solid. I think that they can take a beating but I bought the gold coverage just in case. I'll post another review if it does crack. However, I find these cymbals to be a little too bright for my taste. They give off a bright ping followed by a relatively long decay that isn't noticed with the rest of the band. I would recommend looking at the ZHT Medium Thin crashes just because they are duller, but thats just my taste. They are overall a great, solid cymbal.
Comments about Zildjian ZHT Rock Crash:
These cymbals all in all sound really good and can compare to the top dollar zildjians i'm used to having, but it wasnt but a few months after I had it that it cracked. I know I'm a heavy hitter but I really wouldnt expect such a poor quality cymbal out of zildjian. Ill buy a sabian next time.
Comments about Zildjian ZHT Rock Crash:
VERY poor quality. I had Sabian B8 cymbals that lasted longer than these poor things. They have great sound. Not too bright, they are quick to respond but I had them for less than 4 months and it cracked. Im not even that heavy of a hitter. I play shows all around the Mid-South so I travel, but I have hardshell cases for everything. Great sound, poor poor quality. I expect more out of a zildjian. Good for sutdio, bad for show.

I have been using this cymbal for over 2 years and have gone through only four of them. Being on the road, and playing almost daily, it has managed to keep up with my heavy demands, and good sound quality. The cymbal is for a great price, and has an even better sound.

I got this cymbal for my birthday and I was impressed the second I hit it. Its powerful and perfect for a drummer in a band (like me). The price for this cymbal was perfect and the quality is amazing. I highly reccomend this cymbal to all drummers.
Comments about Zildjian ZHT Rock Crash:
I have the ZHT rock crash 16" and 18". These are far superior to the ZBT and ZXT lines. They remind me of the Paiste Alpha line. They are rather bright with a long decay. Both sizes cut well through amplified music with no mics. A good upgrade from beginner cymbals.
